Canelo is clearly the bigger draw.

Are we really playing this game again? Alvarez seriously didn't get the message last time?
Floyd Mayweather could fight Rod Salka in September and he'd win the date over any possible Alvarez fight.Comment

Everyone now will want to watch canelo rather than Floyd. Floyd proved to millions of people around the world how boring and uninteresting he is and how safe he fights. Canelo proved how much more exciting he is and his willingness to actually fight. Floyd can get lost because no one is going to want to see him run and play tag again.
No matter how much you haters write this nonsense, it won't make it true. Alvarez will move off the September date just like he moved off the May 2 date. If Mayweather decides to fight a rematch against #48, Alvarez won't be fighting on the first Saturday in May 2016 either.Comment

I like canelo but what he did last sat....question will ALWAYS BE can he do that against A-side fighters. If the cotto fight doesn't happen on Sept, I hope he fights someone good....not a fighters who had not fought in over a year like Kirkland. Bradley would be a good apponent for him.Comment

Mayweather would also draw a bigger live gate against Salka and there would be more people would buying the fight on PPV than Alvarez would be able to convince to watch in him regular HBO on the same night.
By the way, does anyone know what the live gate was for the Alvarez/Kirkland fight? My guess is that it was less than $1 million (even with 30,000 in attendance) but I guess they could have gotten lucky and made $1.2 million.Comment

Calm Down Canelo! The man only has 1 Fight and those dates are all yours. I like GGG Idea of him vs Canelo next May! That could be HUGE!
But Canelo September 12th, it all depends on who he fights, if it is Cotto then go for it. If it is Joshua Clottey? Don't even embarrass yourself try to sell that BS up against a Mayweather EventComment
