I dont think there is any way Cotto fights in Sept but thats not stopping people from screaming it. Like i said we in May still and got the summer to go through. Its fun just debating issue

I don't think he has no power, if he wants to fight in September I'm sure HBO would weigh the situation, and if it makes sense they'd put him on.

But more importantly I think Mayweather might be the one to say no to a fight in September. In the post fight interview even Jim Gray seemed like he doubted that Floyd was going to fight in September. Remember Mayweather seemed very adamant about having only 2 more fights. He seems like he's done with boxing now. I wouldn't be surprised if he choses to just wait on Pac where he knows it's guaranteed money, rather than fight a Khan or Garcia where you're not sure how many PPV you might sell.

Good news, this will guarantee Floyd will fight someone big to move Canelo off the date again. If Floyd fights someone nobody cares about it's going to hurt the buys. Canelo won't be on PPV though, Canelo is going to have to fight again on HBO because the cable companies won't allow two big fights to cannibalize the buys.

Everyone now will want to watch canelo rather than Floyd. Floyd proved to millions of people around the world how boring and uninteresting he is and how safe he fights. Canelo proved how much more exciting he is and his willingness to actually fight. Floyd can get lost because no one is going to want to see him run and play tag again.
