Hatton absolutely mugged Floyd for the first 5 rounds, a number of factors didn't allow it to carry on into the second half of the fight. This too being Hatton's only second fight at the weight.

I've always mentioned Hatton alongside Castillo, DLH and now Maidana as Floyd's toughest fight.

Pacquiao was looking for a "retirement" plan.

However, my initial thoughts were how can Manny possibly do better against a much, much better and much bigger version of Marquez? Before I got caught up, I expected exactly this fight to be honest.

I get your sentiments of wanting a better fight and while not mad, it truly was sad seeing Manny be exposed for what he is now. An old gun shy warrior who's seen his better days. And that's really what I took out of this fight. Floyd didn't impress me he looked beatable but I don't think it was because Manny wasn't trying. The end of Shane's career comes to mind on what Manny looked liked, not a lack of effort.
Maybe so. Maybe I am being too harsh. Maybe this is how a great fighters career ends.

I just am angry that he didn't show up.

Neither guy did what they said or what their camp said they would. Both sides talked about a knock out neither guy came close or even tried hard enough to knock any body out.floyd did what he always does outboxed and frustrated pacquiao now let them both retire they made their money. I like that Floyd is dropping the belts it's time for the new generation to make their claim.

Difference between Pacquiao and Hatton is Pacquiao can take Mayweather's shots.

Hatton got beaten down dropped and then got koed. That's not a better performance.

Judah had early success but was bloodied, walked down by Mayweather and packed it in, looking for a way out by the 7th.

Mayweather NEVER walked Pacquiao down, never hurt him or try for a ko, and he was clearly only trying to win rounds.

Floyd gets his KO's through accumulation of punches. He doesn't have 1 punch KO power. Why would he fight like a brawler?

Manny has 1 punch KO power and speed, but is not good at cutting off the ring. Why would he think he could out box Floyd?

Come on man, Manny didn't hold up his end of the bargain.

Exactly they act like Floyd was walking pacquiao down throwing combinations going to the body trying to really break somebody down and stop them he boxed to a victory plain and simple.

I'm not saying fight like a brawler but at least thrown some combinations or go to the body more I have no problem with how Floyd fought he fought smart and got the victory but don't act like he had manny on the ropes and was teeing off on him. Neither guy came to fight both guys boxed and thats what we got a boxing match.pacquao definetly fought scared.there were opportunitirs for Floyd to get him out of there if he threw more combinations.

Pacquiao's last two rounds were disappointing, especially the 11th, not so much the 12th as Floyd was on his bicycle.

Not sure why he didn't go harder in those rounds, he said he thought he had already won the fight so didn't go hard but that's dubious, I think he might've been tired.
Did Pacquiao's corner tell him anything during those rounds? Because if they didn't, then that may be the reason why. I don't think Manny was tired.

Hatton did well, went out on his shield. Hatton was a good fighter.

I only gave him 1 round before the KO (the 5th) but he gave a good account of himself.

Coasting for 8 rounds doesnt make it a better performance. End of.
