GBP preparing to file suit against Haymon

Haymon has never been the lead promoter of a fight. And the rest is speculation because neither of us know what a Haymon contract looks like. But he tells them they have to get his permission to fight certain boxers. He controls them, puts on their shows, promotes the shows through his company, and "manages" their careers. I don't see any difference. Boxers sign with promoters....every other day there is an article about another guy signing with Hymen; sounds like a promoter to me.
But Haymon is a Harvard law graduate and probably has a group of other Harvard Law graduates drafting his contracts and reviewing his business model.
He's not ******Comment

Thurman vs Guerrero - big mismatchoh so the "only" promoters he refuses to work with are the two other biggest promoters. and what obvious reasons? it seems pretty clear to me that Arum and Oscar would both be willing to repair burnt bridges in order to make the fights that make sense. Haymon and Schaeffer are like bratty little girls who couldn't care less about the fans. That's why we'll just keep seeing mismatches for Thurman, Khan, Santa Cruz, Quillin, Garcia and all the other fighters on the Haymon roster. Until hopefully one day the ship collapses.
Quillin vs Lee - even bigger mismatch
Garcia vs Peterson - Biggest mismatch!!!!!
LMAO....come on manComment

No you misunderstanding how it works. A fighter doesn't need to be signed to a promoter. Think of a purse bid. Anybody with a license can bid on a fight and promote it. If I get a promoter license, I can show up to a purse bid, bid the highest offer and promote the show.
Haymons model is, none of his fighters are signed to promotional contracts.Comment

Everyone talks about the Ali Act and numerous people have been accused of violating it. However, I don't recall any promoter, manager or advisor ever being punished for violating it. It is an unenforced law.
If anyone can point out any examples that prove me wrong, please do!Comment

It irks me only insofar as I think it hurts the sport at large and means ALL of us boxing fans will be deprived of many great match ups. But I guess a halfwit such as yourself who sees everything as a black or white issue will never be brought around to see that.Do these idiots think that PBC bouts involving Haymon fighters aren't promoted by anyone? There's always a promoter, and Haymon has laid out a smart business plan to use said promoters to air his bouts on national TV. Man, some of you dudes are way too emotional that a guy like Haymon is so successful. It irks you doesn't it?Comment
