What difference does it make to you if they get a million dollars per fight, you're a boxing fan, you should want to see a good match-up for that million.
PBC is not good because there's little risk in the match-ups. It doesn't capture the imagination.
How is he going to give a legal opinion when he hasn't even looked at what the Act says?
Taking risks with other people's money and then not putting on good match-ups. Sure it's "free", but so what if it's not worth watching and the majority of these PBC cards have been very skippable.
Fwiw I read an article which stated that Haymon was actually in an economics course at Harvard, and that he dropped out, never graduating.
Because Arum didn't try to steal his company from him and kick him when he was down.
lol ridiculous, if Golden Boy fighters are refusing to sign new contracts one by one, don't you think it would be a good idea to ask them why? and upon finding out addressing and eliminating the problem?
But no, Schaefer was working for his own personal interests and the best interests of someone outside the company, breaching his fiduciary duties in the process. Once he was caught he was rightly turfed out and ultimately barred from promoting anyone for an extended period of time.
By all accounts the company never even made a profit under Schaefer, at least they have a chance of that now.
I'll give you the underlined but the bold is where we will disagree.
This is not really directed at you but using what you just said about the company and De la Hoya past words.
De la Hoya is ok with Arum stealing money from him and trying to cheat him out of money as a fighter. That he can see pass and reconcile with.
But Haymon and Schafer he just can't get over.
Don't make sense to me but at the same time it doesn't have to!
You're one of Al's fanboys, right? You're not interested in big boxing fights, you're just happy that Al "wins"? But what is he winning as long as we don't win anything?
An Arum/Main Events/HBO fanboy calling other people fanboys.

I don't see this going anywhere. Haymon is an "advisor". His fighters have their own managers and GYM, Dibella, Warriors, etc. are the promoters.
He's maneuvered his way around it.
It's a thinly-veiled disguise, which any discerning person can see through. If he's in violation of the Ali act, which I suspect he is, the loop hole needs to be closed. I'm very interested in the outcome of litigation in this case.
