All I know is we're getting more boxing and better quality on tv than before and that's good for us fans. Do we occasionally get duds like Broner/Molina? Yeah but it's no different than the crap Arum used to put on. Do I need to remind you of the days of Latin Furys and Pinoy power cards? Mismatch after mismatch?

Like I said in a previous post I don't give a damn about the promoter I care About the fights. And at least Haymon is trying to bring boxing back. Arum talked and talked and all he did was give us expensive mismatches. GB tried, but ended up giving us very little to watch on all those fox deported cards, and all the other 2nd tier promoters were busy begging HBO for crumbs. Haymon is investing money trying to make boxing relevant again and putting on decent cards in the process. I don't see how it hurts the sport.

Come on man, Latin Fury, et al those were crappy little PPV cards. They were more the exception. You claim to not care about promotors and only fights? What about the crap Haymon had HBO put on as well. All of them are guilty of it.

Monopolies are never a good thing. If you care about the fights then you should care about what's happening in the business of boxing right now. It's about what it means for the future.

Well it's short sighted to think its not good for the sport...

Seems to work out well in all the other individual sports- pga, ufc, nascar

Why can't boxing have one central organization like every other sport..

I just don't understand why people are so against this... It's not like boxing under the sanctioning body, premium TV/PPv model is great for the fans..

I hope PBC succeeds and over the next decade signs up every top guy and by 2025ish will basically be making all the fights that people wanna see.. Then there will be no excuses in making the best fights in each division...

This will take time and won't happen probably until guys like Errol spence and anthony Joshua are older, past prime fighters, but I think the 2016 and 2020 Olympians will be the first generation to come into the pro game with an actual organization instead of crap sanctioning bodies that are crooked..

How are sanctioning bodies good for boxing... They are corrupt gangster organizations... They are a racket. How else can you explain Jose suliaman dying yet his son takes his place... Lmao, if roger Goodell or any other major sports commissioner passed away or retired, they aren't getting replaced by their son..

How can boxing having one organization with structure be bad, but it's good to have the corrupt crooked sanctioning bodies and bribing promoters and no structure or cohesiveness. How is that good? That makes no sense long term and is very short sighted

They way I see it two things can happen: Haymon succeeds and boxing becomes relevant again which is good for boxing fans. Then more fighters will want to sign with Haymon and more fighters with him mean more of the match ups we want, since negotiations under one roof are easier. Ask Arum about that.

Or he fails, loses money, and Top Rank and GBP go back to being the big dogs in boxing.
In the meantime we have at the very least good boxing for the next two years. Again look at how HBO had to load up its cards to compete with Haymon. Showtime soon will have to follow to keep up with HBO etc etc.

Lmao, Yeah cause the UFC has a monopoly and it's so bad for the sport.. They don't ever quickly give the fans the fights they want in each division all the time..
Aldo-mccgregor would have taken years to make in boxing, ufc makes it in less than 6 months.. I honestly can't think of one major fight in any division in ufc that didn't get made ASAP

The PGA monopoly is horrible for golf,,,, how dare they have all the best golfers compete against each other? Lmao.. Sports is one of the few areas that it's good to have a monoply, as in theory all players/fighters are under one banner and any game/match/fight can happen....

I think with the way Haymon is doing it, he needs to put on good fights to please the networks and keep his model sustainable.

I'd rather see competition though and I like that HBO stepping up to match the PBC cards

This isn't PGA, UFC, NASCAR or any of the wrestling examples you've used to make your horrible argument before. I really don't have the time or energy to debate them with you. Especially since others have already done so.

What is the difference between PGa, UFC, nascar, etc... How are they different than boxing?
What makes boxing so unique that they can't possibly have a central authority organization?

I don't see this Lawsuit doing anything or stopping PBC or anything like that sounds like just something he is doing in hopes that something is found to I guess stop PBC I don't know but it sounds Ridiculous
