oh so the "only" promoters he refuses to work with are the two other biggest promoters. and what obvious reasons? it seems pretty clear to me that Arum and Oscar would both be willing to repair burnt bridges in order to make the fights that make sense. Haymon and Schaeffer are like bratty little girls who couldn't care less about the fans. That's why we'll just keep seeing mismatches for Thurman, Khan, Santa Cruz, Quillin, Garcia and all the other fighters on the Haymon roster. Until hopefully one day the ship collapses.

Haymon is doing nothing that strikes any flags in regards to the Ali Act. Like another user mentioned, the Ali Act was put in place to protect the fighters from frauds like Arum and King. Haymon now has a business model where the fighters get the best treatment but because Haymon happens to be of a certain demographic, people aren't too fond of it.

No you misunderstanding how it works. A fighter doesn't need to be signed to a promoter. Think of a purse bid. Anybody with a license can bid on a fight and promote it. If I get a promoter license, I can show up to a purse bid, bid the highest offer and promote the show.

Haymons model is, none of his fighters are signed to promotional contracts.

What Im saying is, these promoters are in name only. They dont really da any part in marketing the event, dont assume financial risk including paying the fighters. Strangely this is all done by his fighters opponent's advisor. Its just very unusual

Besides, as bad as it was, it was no worse than Pac vs Algieri, Gplovkin vs his last 20 opponents, Bradley vs whoever the hell it was he fought in his last fight, Lomachenko vs the last three opponents he has faced (including the one on May 2) or Crawford vs the last two opponents he has faced (journeymen whose names I can't even remember.

Every promoter or advisor puts together terrible fights. Al Haymon doesn't have the market cornered on that issue.

Ahh i see. Yea. Like I said before. That's his way around the Ali Act. He has to have a promoter or he will be in violation.

I don't know what role these companies actually play in promoting PBC cards.

People also tend to neglect that when these promoters compete in creates better match ups. HBO and Arum and GBP know they have to compete with Haymon cards so they have the full month of May loaded on HBO.
They're going on tru TV, new promoter Roc Nation going on BET. HBO being very selective with fights and refusing to pay for crap fights.
Etc etc. all things that in the end are good for us boxing fans.

You just pointed out how shortsighted your argument is. The clear goal for PBC is to create its own league and monopolize the sport. How is THAT good for boxing if one entity ends up with control of the sport?
