    There you have it.
    No he really isn't

Quigg has been mostly an undercard fighter for his entire career.

We just have a different way of supporting sports here in the UK. The football (Soccer) team i support are not even in the top division, we are in the second division yet we took 6000 people to the opposite end of the country to support the team yesterday in the oppositions stadium. And that happens every week all over the country for different teams. They get drunk, have a good time and be part of the occasion.

Essentially British people love a social occasion/drinking and all the other vices and supporting something or someone gives them a purpose to do it. Thats why you get thousands following Hatton, Hamed, Calzaghe etc...Across the world for a fight and basically take over the venue.

Ward is wrong about less options though. As someone already pointed out, when it comes to Football, we have so many teams in such short distances from each other, just a few miles yet their stadiums are full every week. Look at boxing too, we do have a lot of options, fair enough they might not all be star names but look at cards like Bellew v Cleverly, sold out a big arena yet they're not really big names in the sport or if Quigg and Frampton fight, it will be sold out in a big venue. Just because they're not huge names on the world stage, they are still well supported.

We just have a different way of showing support, a lot of passion for the event we choose to watch and just love to drink and socialise a lot. If you go to a most estates (neighbourhoods) in the country, it will have pubs where everyone knows each other and they go in the same place a few times a week and socialise for years. It's just a communal thing that filters through society and into sports.

and of course the country with fewer great fighters is going to be more loyal to the few world class fighters they've got.

He has a point. Crawford draws well in Omaha, which has nothing outside of the College World Series two weeks out of the year, but even thats still only 10,000 people.

Bay Area has 6 pro sports, 2 major universities, and tons of recreational activities to do outside of sports.

He may have a point about why no one cares about him in his area but he doesn't know what he's on about when it comes to the UK.

Ward is starting to get as insecure as Mayweather and it's just an ugly facet to an already ugly personality.
