I never been to the UK so I don't know what options they have and what they watch.

In America though besides Mayweather and Pacquiao...Nobody Cares About The Rest In boxing at the moment because nobody really doing anything to brag the attention of American Boxing Fans. Ward is a great fighter but him being Classy Gentlemen doesn't work unless you have the Loud Big Personality Promoter like Don King. Holyfield was similar to Ward, he was Spiritual and did not talk trash and was very humble...but he had Don King to sell his fights! Ward mistake was after winning Gold he should have signed with either Don King or Arum, Not Goossen (RIP). So Ward is so far behind when it comes to Promoting, even with Roc Nation it seems like he still has to go out and Promote HIMSELF!

I don't think he was discrediting the UK Fans, they're the best fans in all of Boxing IMO. But the attention span in America is Extremely Low. It is not just Boxing, even Baseball is struggles to draw consistent ratings and new fans.

      He's right.

Any talented youngster coming through in the UK gets overhyped too much.

It's all about promotion. For one, prospects need to make regular apoearances in their home towns. Devon Alexander sold out at home years ago and Terrance Crawford packs the house at home. Judah and Paulie pack the house at home.

UK fans are better than the US in general. That's pretty much all sports. You get fans travelling across countries by the thousands in many sports here.

US fans make an event like a library when I think of it.

It's other fans that make the noise.

For example Mayweather is the most well known US Fighter.

Hatton, Cotto, Maidana and even Canelo seemed to have more cheering fans.

Except that's not what he said, he said British fans support their boxers more because they have less sports, which isn't true.

Truth be told boxing isn't really that popular in the UK, it's well down the list, it's just (seemingly) more popular than it is in the US.

Scott Quigg is a superstar in the UK. Chris Algieri is a laughingstock in America.

                There you have it.

Algieri wasn't a laughing stock until he lost. Anybody that loses is a laughing stock in America, which I think reflects that there are a lot of bandwagon fans who only want to support a winning fighter. Quigg is actually unbeaten but if he loses fans will still be checking for him, just as they do Kevin Mitchell.

Quigg actually isnt a superstar. He isnt a big draw and I can only remember him headlining a handful of shows.

Do boxing get more media coverage in the UK than it does in the states??
