More people seeing him on national tv, larger purses for lower threat level opposition which means he'll make way more when/if Sergey or another big fight pops off at some point.

I think its still a unknown if PBC will work with bigger name guys outside the Haymon advised fighters that it seems we are currently getting. I think his roster is vast, but eventually it'll need to expand or he'll need to work with non-advised guys. I know people like to say cuz this happened in the past that that trend will continue, but I think Al's strategy while under GBP was different than what his strategy will be under PBC.

Not trying to "take you apart" pal. We obviously just disagree on the issue.

Sergey Kovalev, in defending against one of his mandatory challengers, is giving Jean Pascal the opportunity to fight for three world titles. Pascal, who meets Kovalev in Montreal on March 14, says he’s happy to be giving Kovalev something in return. “I’m really, really glad to give Kovalev his first real payday, because I think he got underpaid by his people, because after like 23 fights [Kovalev’s had 27], it’s his first real payday,” Pascal said on a Feb. 24 media conference call. “After his fight against Hopkins, I think he got only 100k, something like that, and that’s very, very bad for a champion of his caliber. I think Kovalev deserves way more money, a lot of money, and I’m very glad that I’m giving him this opportunity.”

I should have posted his take from the Bernard fight and not his purse-my mistake.
      Yeah....like that was a "mistake"

      You don't fool anyone.

I don't know what it's worth now but I do know that Stevenson won't be getting the lion's share of the purse any more. Will he swallow his pride and accept that or feel he's entitled to more?
Plans in boxing rarely go smoothly, he has not taken a huge hit in anything so everything is pretty much fine with him. You aren't wrong that he has been bull****ting but all that gets solved in one move.

Kovalev was willing to work cheaper than Stevenson so he got those fights, fair play to him but the fact that he had to cut his own throat for those moves in hoping they worked out is a gamble. As is the case with gambles if you wint hem they tend to pay off big.

Stevenson will get his share and it will be bigger than he would have gotten more money previously, now Kovalev might make more total than him but that would be one of the costs of the plan but that only means so much if you are also getting a career high payday.

Could Stevenson have done better sure, could he have done better for equal risk and end up in a similar position probably not.

You should visit the opticians then. You took yourself apart when you tried to advocate ducking. Dirk and I just pointed out what is completely obvious to anyone that doesnt have their proboscus wedged inside Al Haymon or Floyd's arsehole.

No I get that and our conversation is perfectly fine really (pretty good for most boxingscene talk), but if my point was so poor you would be able to take me apart because you are sharp.

Junior Gong has no hope of making such a play because he is duller than safety scissors.

I should add if he gets past Bika, because that could easily end up a trap fight for Stevenson.

I already have done, you're just a bit too dim to notice. Your whole point is ridiculous unless you are either the fighter, his dependant family, Al Haymon or anyone else with a financial stake. The last thing boxing needs is so-called fans like you who are more interested in the fighters lifestyles and bank balances than they are the integrity of the sport or seeing the best fight the best.

The proposed paydays for Bhop/Pascal would've been bigger than the fights he took because they were part of the exclusive Showtime deal, something he didn't have before Haymon. Had he fought BHop and Pascal without the exclusive showtime deal he wouldn't have made as much.

That exclusive deal is the reason he got paid more for crap fights than he would have for the Kov fight on HBO. In other threads you have said you do not have a problem with taking more lucrative fights over the best fight.

It seems clear its been a good move economically for Adonis.
