What has Stevenson gained thus far by signing with Haymon?

-He's lost the momentum he had during his HBO run

-He's lost the respect of the majority of boxing fans aside from those who worship Haymon

-He's lost out on 3 high profile fights against Bhop/Kovalev/Pascal

-He's lost out on the paydays associated with those fights and is making less for fighting lesser opponents

-He claims he will fight Kovalev but due to the politics involved (Haymon/showtime/HBO/etc) I don't see how this is possible.

-Kov just crushed Pascal and it lessens the appeal of a possible Pascal/Stevenson matchup. It will just look like he's feasting on Kov's leftovers

So what was the upside to jumping ship and signing with Haymon?

Nothing he stock has dropped, only reason he relevant is because people want to see the kovalev fight.

He has managed to stay champion longer than he would have if he had not signed with Haymon.

If I was him, I'd feel like the only azz right now. He sold his soul and not only has he gotten nothing in return, he's lost out on mega fights/paydays and I see nothing on the horizon that can turn his stock around.

Avoided being beaten more important than the championship I would say.

You're right though, he hasn't gained anything except managing to duck Kovalev.
