You can tell it eats Dunn up inside to have to criticise Haymon fighters but the likes of Santa Cruz and Adonis are such relentless b1tches that he has no choice. He's forced to keep up his phony public image of being an impartial poster.

He'll always include some kind of caveat though like "He's gonna fight Chavez doe!" or "lets see where he as at the end of the contract doe!". He'll never fully commit to ****ting on them.

I believe Chavez is now on Haymon's roster. He is fighting fonfara who Stevenson defeated. I would think he'd make a fight with Stevenson before he would either of them. Besides, Froch is acting now.

Why would I be crossing my fingers? You've already stated he gets huge paydays for easy wins. He already got more than he would've for Kov fight twice.

SO its been great for his income, bad in every other way.
Kovalev earned 150k? Nice propaganda Dunn

Kovalev was willing to take short money to fight Hopkins because he was confident of winning and now it's paying dividends and he's earning more than Stevenson.

Stevenson has turned down his 3 highest purses but he's not actually worried about bidniss. He's just worried about keeping his belt and health in tact whilst getting overpaid for bum fights.

Being overpaid to fight bums doesn't mean you're earning your highest income. It just means you're willing to take a paycut so you don't get separated from your senses by a real threat like Kovalev.

No, he took short money for Bellew went on the road and won a title, a move I often give him credit for and say other fighters need to do same. He got hoodwinked in the BHop fight.

OK. Yeah, Haymon gets him great money for easy fights. The thread is about what has he gained-I answered that.

I never said it did. I said specifically that he earned more for the 2 showtime fights than he would've for the Kov fight. He would've earned more for bhop and pascal because he had an exclusive SHowtime deal-a deal he got once he signed with Haymon.

You are whining because I pointed out the fact that there have been a couple of positives since he signed with Haymon and not engaging in the sheep like behavior of "never fully commit to ****ting on them."

I'll leave that to you and junior gong.

The only positive for him is that he gets overpaid to fight bums. His income is actually taking a hit since he's turning down his highest paydays left right and centre.

This is absolutely it in a nutshell. I'm not sure whether he knows that people know this or whether he just doesnt care. Its constant campaigning, every single day of the year and prolifically and at great length.

We live in the time of the fanboy. A time where we have people being fans of promoters and managers, the very people boxing fans see mostly as the largest obstacles to giving us the fights we want. You can bet that every time Dunn reads a press release about a Haymon fighter saying I aint fighting this guy because Al said he has things lined up/more money down the line/tv companies... etcetera, etcetera.. He punches the air and shouts "Yes!!!! Get that money!!!!". Pathetic.

I don't know about you guys, but the highlights of when he gets his check, and take it to the bank and signs it, that just really hardens my *******. That is what boxing is really about.

It's strange though because if Dunn was so concerned about his guys getting money then he would be pushing Adonis to fight Kovalev. That's his highest purse so why not "get dat money"?

Notice he'll also try to sneakily **** on Kovalev for getting "hoodwinked" in the negotiations against Hopkins and he'll lie about the purse (it wasn't 150k). Yet now Kovalev is earning more than Stevenson and it's killing him

                    He gained money~

He had easy paydays and the Kovalev fight was not worth a large sum more than those figures until this weekend.

So he got to bide his time making solid cash while the big fight got even bigger, at low risk.

What is worth more fighting Kovalev in a 50/50 fight for 1.5

Or fighting two other fights for over 1 million then fighting Kovalev for more than 2 million. My maths skills aren't what they once were, but I think the answer is clear.

Signing with Haymon has allowed him to retain his title longer than if he had not run away. If he had decided to stick around, he most likely would have fought Kovalev in his next fight and he would have lost his title there and then. By extension, it has enabled him to earn money he would not have otherwise earned if he had lost his title.

As much as I despise Haymon, at least Stevenson has been fighting, unlike two particular fighters who have signed with Roc Nation. So there is that to consider... it could be worse.
