Signed Feb 2014. Since then he inked an exclusive showtime deal. Fought twice on the network. Will either fight Kov (unlikely) or Chavez Jr. for big money.

Signing with Haymon has been good for his income but bad in almost every other way for his career so far. Lets see where he is when the contract expires.

Al Heymin is going to make him fight Kovalev very soon I believe. I can't wait.

Hopefully they put Santa Cruz vs Frampton on the undercard.

That would be a PPV I would buy.

Good for his income? If that means overpaid to fight bums, then yes.

He's still earning far less than he could by turning down the 3 biggest fights in his division.

Why the hell would Chavez Jr fight him? Wishful thinking from you because you're desperate to call this venture a success

On which network? Kov is signed to HBO and Stevenson to Showtime. I don't see this fight being big enough for them to do a joint venture like Floyd/Pac.

If I thought it was a success, I'd post that. He got more for his fights than Kov did for his and they both have exclusive network deals, so clearly economically this has been good for Adonis.

I'm sure he would have made more for the other fights, except maybe Kov because at the time neither had an exclusive network deal.

Chavez Jr. just signed with Haymon and the fight is at 172 so maybe this is something they are doing.

We will see at the end of the contract if it was a success or not.

KOv is on a 3 fight deal, he has had 2 of those fights, he owes HBO one more than he is free to wait and resign to make any fight he wants.

What has he gained? The same idiotic, racist support base that follows floyd?........A justified reputation as a ducker?

Maximising his income with as little effort as possible seemed to be his goal all along.

Then with haymon it was love at first sight.

Is that the benchmark? He got more than Kovalev? Kovalev just earned more than Stevenson ever earned against Pascal - a fight Stevenson turned down. Whoops.

The benchmark is usually, "what's the highest I can earn" and on 3 different occasions, Stevenson said no thanks to that question. Earning less to fight bums. Bidniss doe.

Chavez Jr says his weight class is 168. Why would he fight Stevenson when he has much bigger fights against the likes of Froch and Golovkin.

Dunn desperately crossing his fingers that Adonis gets a big payday

No it's not the benchmark. It's simply an answer to the TS question. Kov got that After earning about 150k for the BHop fight.

The Kov payday wasn't going to be any bigger than what he got for the showtime fights he's had.

I believe Chavez is now on Haymon's roster. He is fighting fonfara who Stevenson defeated. I would think he'd make a fight with Stevenson before he would either of them. Besides, Froch is acting now.

Why would I be crossing my fingers? You've already stated he gets huge paydays for easy wins. He already got more than he would've for Kov fight twice.

SO its been great for his income, bad in every other way.
