You havs a perfectly legit reason Doc. But for a lot of these clowns they would have voted the same way regardless.

Not that I agree with it, just highlighting the difference.
Voters in the poll are included in thread.

Pacquiao is the best in our era. He can really fight his ass off.

Hopkins should really be on this list as he's arguably accomplished more than anyone aside from perhaps Pacquiao in terms of lasting legacy.

I got into boxing in 2009 and can only say from watching youtube tapes that while Roy Jones Jr. was obviously talented, where are his ATG wins? People talk about him like he's an ATG and eh, I don't get it but I also wasn't watching when he was fighting at his prime.

For that same reason I can't honestly vote for Pernell although I give Whitaker credit for beating Chavez. I simply wasn't around for most of his career so it's hard for me to rank the fights I've seen against the legacies of Floyd and Manny which I both know more about.

Between Floyd and Manny I have to give it to Manny. Both guys' best wins come over Juan Manuel Marquez, then probably Miguel Cotto... but after that Manny has the better wins. I rate Morales and Barrera over Corrales and Castillo. I also think Tim Bradley may prove to be a bigger scalp than anyone Floyd has beaten since Marquez in 2009.

The winner of the fight would undoubtably have to be ranked higher on all ATG lists. Ask yourself, does either fighter have a win on their resume over a fighter greater than themselves? Neither does.

I don't think its too late because if you look at the top welterweights, Floyd and Pac have cleaned house of all deserving contenders.

                      Greatest fighter? Roy Jones.

                      Best resume? Manny Pacquiao.
