People lie about how good Pernell is only because he's a past ATG, if he and Floyd switch eras, no one would tell that lie about him being better than Floyd!

If they switched eras, Whitaker would be left with faded, old, inactive versions of Mosley and De La Hoya, as opposed to the prime version of Oscar that he fought and arguably beat ten years previous.

I got into boxing in 2009 and can only say from watching youtube tapes that while Roy Jones Jr. was obviously talented, where are his ATG wins? People talk about him like he's an ATG and eh, I don't get it but I also wasn't watching when he was fighting at his prime.

For that same reason I can't honestly vote for Pernell although I give Whitaker credit for beating Chavez. I simply wasn't around for most of his career so it's hard for me to rank the fights I've seen against the legacies of Floyd and Manny which I both know more about.

Between Floyd and Manny I have to give it to Manny. Both guys' best wins come over Juan Manuel Marquez, then probably Miguel Cotto... but after that Manny has the better wins. I rate Morales and Barrera over Corrales and Castillo. I also think Tim Bradley may prove to be a bigger scalp than anyone Floyd has beaten since Marquez in 2009.
        Where are his ATG wins?

Prime James Toney? At his best weight aswell.

        What ATG has Hopkins beat?

Exactly. Roy beat Hopkins and Toney. Hopkins best win is Trinidad. It's a great win and Tito was a very good middleweight but even the most die hard Hopkins fan has to admit that Tito was best at 147.

                because 1995-2015 is 20 years.

ppl don't make it so complicated. they don't have to have started at 1990.

that also doesn't mean you can't count their career pre 1990.

IMO may weather is the best fighters of the 2000s to now. He was fighter of the year in 98 when no one even knew who Manny was and is still an undefeated champion. Everyone acknowledges his skill and work ethic is unlike anyone of this era.

The facts are of all the guys fighting today may weather has beaten the most champion's, tied for most lineal titles, half his fights are title fights and majority of those are lineal title fights. He has fought almost double the title fights Manny has and some may feel PAC is greater.

Based on the eye test, who they fought etc.....may weather is the clear greatest of this era

Roy Jones was the best of the prior era, eye test and his accomplishments don't lie....Hopkins was behind Jones and Manny is behind Floyd....Floyd and Roy were a level over their contemporaries.

LMAOOOOOO @ Manny Pac being better than Mayweather, Whitaker and Jones Jr.

                      LMAOOOO

                      LMAOOOO!

                      LMAOOOOOO!!

                      LMAO!!!

Manny has been laid out COLD by JMM, outboxed and OWNED by Erik Morales (first fight), ko'd 2 other times in his early career. He also lost and barely edged by TIM BRADLEY in a rematch.

                      TIM BRADLEY??? Bradley? Tim Bradley?

Imagine what Mayweather and Sweetpea do to Tim Bradley.

This forum is full of ignorant Pac fans. I bet they know every movie Pac has been in, but has never seen fights like Jones-Toney, Whitaker-Mcgirt and Mayweather-Corrales.

                      SMH at the ignorance...
