Is it any surprise that NSB has such a different view than boxing writers and historians? Of course in fairness to the ring voters, they didn't get to vote with their alts as well as their main accounts.

LOL. In reality I think every has a bias even historians. They probably have a bias towards the older fighters (which is why Whitaker was #1 out of the post 1990 fighters) while newer fans have a bias towards the fighters they have grown up watching (Mayweather and Pacquiao)

What will be hilarious is 10-15 years down the road where Errol Spence, Danny Garcia, Lomachenko, Andre Ward, GGG and Rigo fans start ranking them ahead of Floyd and Pac. The reaction of Floyd and Pac fans throwing a fit will be priceless.

People still think Duran and Leonard are ahead of Pacquiao in terms of greatness by about 10% check the other poll. Floyd doesn't enter into it really. Pacquiao is hot on the heels of Duran and Leonard and will probably be universally proclaimed as the greatest fighter since Muhammed Ali if he beats Floyd.

true, generational bias is always an issue. I can't imagine that I will be on NSB in 2025 or 2030.

Imagine if I am and there still hasn't been a Floyd/Manny fight?

If they never fight I hope the voters ban them from the hall of fame and the historians exclude them from all rankings. It would be a disgrace.

Luckily I think the fight is done just pending when Floyd wants to announce it.

I agree with you on both points.

I wait to see how the next rankings, if done, reward the winner of the fight.
