Jose Luis Ramirez-Jose Luis Castillo what a fight that would have been.

Ramirez vs Corrales, Casamayor, Johnston, Freitas, Spadafora, all would have been great. I'd pick Ramirez to win all of those except Castillo which would be a barnstormer.

Ramirez was known for his heart and warrior instinct. But his boxing skills and defense were also fantastic.

Against Arguello, he not only outboxed him, made him miss with relative ease but dropped him with a single shot, beautifully timed counter punch.

Arguello is my favourite fighter of all time, I'm biased towards him, but when I watched that fight as it happened I gave it Ramirez and have done everytime since.
where would arguello rank if he had beat pryor?

i can't believe pryor took those shots like nothing.

If achievement is the basis of all this greatest fighter of our era; then nothing touches Manny Pacquiao.

          If skill is, mayweather.

If sheer physical gifts and attributes, Roy Jones Jr.

Pernel is the odd man out in this pool.

Basically, the ultimate determination of this title is usually bestowed by the casual fans, and one can argue that at this moment it's only between floyd-pacquiao. They must fight and end the debate; whoever wins then, will be entitled greatest fighter of our era.

Please respond to my entire comment. No cherrypicking! I factored in allot and I also said he cant beat them LIKE FLOYD beat them. I do think at 37, Its no way sweat pea would be big enough for Ghost.

Floyd changed his entire fighting style to beat him.

I do not feel that the past ATG's can beat Floyd and Pac. Few could. I also feel that their is no fighter in history who had the skillset of Floyd. He had a plus minus of 30, which was TOP 3 IN BOXING HISTORY.

I do not feel that their is a fighter in history that can fight his foes and get stats like that. It will never ever EVER happen!

You can NOT vote pac over May just based on JMM fights. Its easily Mayweather. Skill wise RJJ and even James Toney skill wise deserves some love. He was just so lazy.

The prime Ortiz who Floyd faced? I completely disagree. Floyd is the only fighter who can do what Floyd does. For Pernell is not even half the fighter Floyd is, so their is nothing that tells me that Pernell can walk down that version of Ortiz. Not at 34, especially!
