I've always assumed that the agreement Arum is referring to is all the terms provisionally. Before you draft contracts and formalise the things, you've gotta agree to the terms proposed by Mayweather's team.....is that really so far-fetched to believe?

Would Arum really be going around saying Moonves and Haymon are on board, in agreement and know what is going on if this wasn't true? This isn't a lie like the stadium one that can't be checked. I'm struggling to understand Bob coming out with a lie about having agreed to all of Mayweather's terms, knowing it can easily be shot down (and no, I don't mean by stretcher extraordinaire, Alex Ariza) by a Moonves and Haymon (well, Watson).

Arum has had lies shot down in the past so why would it bother him now? He had lies shot down from the first negotiations; "afraid of needles" and an assortment of other lies(bulding a stadium, healing cuts, fight dates).

Arum has never cared whether it can be checked.He's been caught in plenty of lies.

Arum was convicted of bribing the Nevada state athletic commission to get a fight sanctioned. He also was federally convicted of bribing the IBF to manipulate a ranking of one of his fighters.

I don't understand how it's hard to believe that he would lie in this situation.

Floyd did say that but 100000000 threads aren't made from Floyd's quotes like they are from Manny and Arum quotes. Plus there are ongoing negotiations so we shouldn't be hearing from anyone yet. It's all a smokescreen imo. They should both retire holding hands if they don't fight.

I really hope this fight never happens. All this soap opera crap has really ****** the life out of it. All i wanna see is that documentary 15 years from now about how the biggest fight never happened. Mayweather with old wrinkles still blaming Arum, pure comedy. The sport of boxing needs to expand, this fight is holding the sport hostage. Let go of it. Stop expecting it, let the sport move on.
