Floyd 'offered' a $40 million flat fee with no PPV cut and asked 'What if I lose?'. That was just another elaborate way for Floyd 'my health is more important than money' Mayweather to say what he's been saying all along in regard to seeing Pac in the ring- "Thanks, but no thanks".

So again I ask... What is Arum doing besides bringing CBS/Showtime and HBO together and acquiescing to every single Mayweather demand to stop the fight from happening?

    I need specifics.

If Arum is not the issue, why did CBS exec Moonves call him "the devil?"

        November 23, 2014:

Following a Pacquiao-Algieri worldwide publicity tour, Roach said he urged Moonves to meet with Arum at the promoter’s Beverly Hills home.

“They didn’t like each other,” Roach said of a strain that dated to Pacquiao’s return to HBO after fighting one bout on Showtime in 2011. “Bob promised [Moonves] three fights … and only gave him one. … [Moonves] actually told me, ‘I’m not dealing with the devil.’

“I kind of sneakily put them together, about four months ago. I knew it was risky. … [Moonves] wanted to make the fight without Bob and I said, ‘That’s not going to happen, you’ve got to bring him in.’

Arum is and will always be "the devil!" Freddie knows that, that's why he had to "...kind of sneakily put them together..."

            Exactly

Arum has a very grating personality and it rubs a lot of people the wrong way. He's made a lot of enemies in his time... yet was always able to make super fights with them throughout his decades long tenure in the sport. He and Don King were mortal enemies but had no trouble making big fights together. Recently Kathy Duva spoke about how much her husband despised Arum... but they still made fights together. Oscar left Bob to start a rival company, but before Haymon became a power player in the sport they made big fights together.

You don't have to like someone to get business done with them. Arum has proven since the mid 1960s that he's in it for the $ and is willing to reach across the table to make deals with adversaries if it benefits him financially.

But we're supposed to believe that he's meeting with the head of CBS, acquiescing to Mayweather's demands because he DOESN'T want to gain financially from the biggest money fight ever.

            Yeah, story checks out.

Floyd's team: "Bob Arum is to blame"

How can Bob Arum be to blame? You agree on conditions to a fight, the promoter is irrelevant...

Floyd's camp gets away with making BS offers like $40 mil..making wild accusations like PEDs... and now Bob Arum..without saying anything specific...

Saying Bob Arum is the reason the fight isn't happening without the specific demand that is being rejected is bs...

My guess is Ariza told Floyd not to take the fight...

Man, I was just thinking...are we fight fans or not? Do we want this fight to happen or not? Both sides are saying different things so at this point I think it's best we just have faith and wait. We'll know the answer in a week or two. And if there is someone to blame, we'll know then too but people are choosing sides already when negotiations haven't even been called off. Patience.

Goes both ways. Why is the head of CBS personally meeting with Arum/HBO if he doesn't have assurance from Mayweather that he wants the fight?

LOL whenever I hear someone say have faith and wait = naive talk without a point...

The fans deserve to know from Floyd what condition is not satisfied...is he now backing off from accepting 60-40? Floyd has made up too many BS excuses... Bob Arum and that $40 mil offer... really just stand out to me as excuses that are not even reasonable... makes me think he never had any interest in making this fight...Ariza used to agree with my position before he went on Mayweather's payroll

Spot on. Its unreasonable to place blame on the fight not happening on any one party right now when negotiations are still ongoing and the information we have is based mostly off of what Arum has to say.
