          I'll add to list

          Provodnikov - Bad
          Rios - Decent
          Prescott - Non existant

If Matthysse moves up - Deceivingly good

Prescott's fighting at welter in March, I think. I think he loses too.

Why do you suppose inside fighting has become a lost art?

Matthysse is not an inside fighter either. He's a mid range boxer/puncher. I've heard ppl.call him a pressure fighter as well, since when? He has a lot of power, but he uses it at mid range best. When u fight him up close, he's not nearly as scary.

                      A lot of reasons:

-The amateur scoring system that was in place discouraged fighting on the inside and body punching. You were better off staying at range, using your feet and landing clean punches upstairs that the judges could clearly see so that you could score points.

-When fighters get to the pros, instead of developing an inside game, they are taught to clinch so that the ref breaks them up and they can maintain the fight at the distance they are comfortable at. Clinching is taught at every gym in America these days.

                      - The refs don't enforce clinching which puts inside fighters at a severe disadvantage

                      - All of the old school trainers are aging. That's why I hope guys like James Toney get into training fighters at some point to pass down their knowledge.

-Boxing gyms are closing period and becoming full service fitness centers that offer boxing and mma classes

                      - Body punching and inside fighting isn't always rewarded by the judges. It's difficult for the judge sitting ringside to see which punches are being landed cleanly and which punches are being rolled and slipped. That's why Toney has so many controversial decisions.

Those are the few reasons that come to mind.
