Rios would get the better of most fighters around that weightclass in phone booth type fight imo. His problem is that he he is so easy to outbox. Alvarado was able to outbox him lol
    yeah I agree

Floyd has good d on the inside, but fighting on the inside isn't where he fights well, thats not how he wins. All the rounds he has lost have always been when he is forced to fight on the inside.

The one fight he probably lost was to Castillo, a specialist inside fighter. Coralles another fighter who troubled Floyd? Also liked to fight on the inside.

Corrales was an outside puncher. He also lost every round, got knocked down 5 times and stopped.

          I subscribe to this assessment.

During the first Castillo fight, FMJr injured his right shoulder very early (in the second round, if I remember correctly).

I was going to suggest Rios but he's not even close to top 10. A lot of guys outside of the top 10 have a better inside game than guys in the top 10. Roberto Garcia is another guy with a strong inside game.
Guererro' shown a decent inside game in recent fights.

Wouldn't describe Marquez inside game as very good.

I agree. I think Marquez is much better at distance. He catches guys when they are trying to get inside though

Inside fighting is a lost art. On that list, the only fighter who's inside game can be considered anything above decent Floyd. I don't recall Pacquiao ever displaying an inside game lol?
In other weight classes, Andre Ward and B-Hop are exceptional inside fighters.

If JMM is still a 147 fighter, I'd say him. I'm not sure how or why people are rating Floyds inside game, his inside game involved elbows and pushing opponents off. The moment Maidana, Oscar, Cotto got close, that's all he did. He doesn't have the physical strength to in fight against strong fighters.

I will concede he has some quick, short counters but that doesn't mean his inside game is better than JMM or Bradley. Actually Guerrero's is pretty good too.
