Best inside game at 147?

If JMM is still a 147 fighter, I'd say him. I'm not sure how or why people are rating Floyds inside game, his inside game involved elbows and pushing opponents off. The moment Maidana, Oscar, Cotto got close, that's all he did. He doesn't have the physical strength to in fight against strong fighters.
I will concede he has some quick, short counters but that doesn't mean his inside game is better than JMM or Bradley. Actually Guerrero's is pretty good too.Comment

Floyd not only at 147 but one of the best in boxing today period.
I used to think Porter had an inside game until I saw more tape on him and it was severely overrated.
Rios has a good inside game but is slow and can't work his way inside when he's in there with a good boxer. Guerrero has good punch selection and combinations in the pocket but his defense is garbage and he's susceptible to uppercuts.
I just watched Toney vs. Barkely this past weekend. What a beautiful display of inside fighting. This is becoming a lost art. I hope with the amateur system going back to a 10 point must system instead of that pitty pat points system that we see more prospects with polished inside games enter the scene over the next several years.Comment

Mayweather is good inside, that's about it.
Guerrero and Rios have solid chins so are happy to fight up close, but neither are good inside. They get hit with everything and just exchange, their chins allow them to get away with that, not skill.
James Toney is what a great inside fighter looked like, he was right there making guys miss and cracking them with counters. He rolled shots, slipped others, used his shoulders/arms to block before using his body momentum to come back with beautiful counters.....that's great inside fighting. Guerrero and Rios get hit constantly inside and trade, they are average at best.Comment

This forum clearly needs an instructional video on what inside fighting is. It's excusable because this generation of fighters don't use the inside game so its probably due to lack of familiarity. But some of the names being listed don't have inside games at all.Comment
