    Best inside game at 147?

How would you rate the current top 10 welterweights' inside game?

    Pac - decent
    Floyd - very good
    Thurman - bad
    Bradley - moderate
    Brook - bad
    Khan - bad
    Porter - decent
    Marquez - very good
    Maidana - decent
    Guerrero - good
(Alexander - bad, Chaves - moderate)

A few of the top guys have no inside game at all, Thurman uses his feet when opponents get too close, Khan uses his feet and clinches, Brook clinches.

Mayweather's the best, Bradley is second best. Inside fighting is one of the few things Bradley does very well.

      Bradley's inside game is overrated.

He couldn't handle Peterson's inside game. That's why he beat him from the outside.

But yes, I guess he is the best at 147 considering the rest are pretty bad at it.

        Floyd.

He's the only fighter at 147 with a good inside game really.

I would say Pacquaio doesn't have one at all. I've never seen him fight on the inside ever.

          Floyd is best.

Rios is good too but he can't get there consistently enough against better fighters

I was going to suggest Rios but he's not even close to top 10. A lot of guys outside of the top 10 have a better inside game than guys in the top 10. Roberto Garcia is another guy with a strong inside game.

True , and not only at welter . Inside game seems to be a bit of a lost art.

Floyd can fight on the inside, but it's surely not what he relies on at this stage, JMM lacks the size to be fighting on the inside , but he knows how to do it.

I agree with everything you said.

I think he's one of best in terms of inside fighting. Not saying much because only Floyd seems to have any skill there.

Rios would get the better of most fighters around that weightclass in phone booth type fight imo. His problem is that he he is so easy to outbox. Alvarado was able to outbox him lol

Yeah Marquez doesn't have the size to go toe to toe with guys at 147 but in terms of skill, he has got an inside game.
