I think he's a good fighter, he really impressed me the way he man handled Porter.

Brook has a good win vs Porter (Porter beat two decent fighters) solid win.

But he's 28 and has one good win? lol he's in his peak with one good win.

Put him in there with Thurman, Maidana and Bradley and I'm sold.
        I'm with this.

Kell Brook looks good, but to me he has about the same level of wins that Thurman has. Brook beat Porter (undef strong young fighter like Chaves) and Senchenko (older European fighter with some skills like Bundu).

Really the bottom line is that Brook, Maidana, Thurman, and Khan need to be fighting eachother. It is very hard to tell who beats who with these 4 and they are the best at Welterweight outside of Floyd and Manny.

              Haha, I agree.

I thought everyone hyped Porter way up after beating Paulie and Devon. Paulie was just tailor-made for him and Devon is only looks goods when he can stop your offense with his speed.

No, just because the bogus sanctioning bodies have them ranked don't mean they are legit..

many users on this forum can easily name 5 of amir khans last opponents,

apart from shevchenko and porter can you honestly name any other boxer brook has fought?
Khan had a massive hype machine behind him when he turned pro. When he came on the scene for his debut he was pretty much the biggest name in British boxing already, maybe only second to Ricky Hatton or Joe Calzaghe. His first fight was in front of 20k people if I'm not mistaken. It's hard to explain to someone who wasn't there, but the anticipation for Khan's career was immense. People genuinely believed that he could be the guy. The next Oscar dela Hoya if you will.

Therefore, a lot of money was put into his career and a lot of money was put forward to rush his career. He got opportunities to fight for the commonwealth, british and world title belts at a very young age because he was Amir Khan, Olympic superstar. Meanwhile, Kell Brook was a guy fighting in leisure centers against journeymen because there was hardly any interest in him.

People say Kell Brook had the easy way up, but they got that all mixed up. It was him who had the hard way up, struggling for recognition.

                    They were good wins.

When the fight first came up, I thought Brook would win. but even I got so caught up in Porter's hype and the fact that 114 out of 114 boxing writers picked Porter to win got me second guessing.

All the way through were Dan_Cov telling me what was going to happen and it happened exactly as he called it. I mean, to a tee. And we had a good night that night.

That was one of my predicted upsets last year. Felt good to get it right.
