Why do people talk about Kell Brook like he's an established force?

Win over Porter was good but not an ecstatic win, very ugly fight to watch. More clinching than fighting and showed Porter to be very limited/one dimensional. Still props to Brook for preparing a great gameplan and nullifying Porter as a fighter on the whole. Still find it hard to gauge him against other world levellers, if he cracks thurman though he'd get massive props.

Look how hyped Porter was on this forum before the Brook fight. People were saying he would give Mayweather hell. Go back and look, there are so many threads hyping him like crazy. Now Brook beat him, all of a sudden Porter is a bum and people are trying to say Brook beat a D level fighter or something.

Whatever the case, Brook is more of an established force at WW than somebody like Khan is. He's a world champion and took the belt from the champion in his own country.

Will he fight Thurman? Doubt it, but I'd give him credit and it would improve his fan level with me.

I'm not sure if I can approve of the Khan fight yet as his opposition aside from Porter has not been stiff enough for my liking, but I think the Khan fight may indeed happen if Pac Floyd happens.

What do you guys think about Brook? People call Thurman overrated but I think they're around the same level, actually I think Thurman's resume is superior.

Good point, Brook has more options than Khan.

He can make adjustments and take pressure well.

Brook has more potential at 147 than Khan IMO.

He's a very good fighter. I didn't think much of him before the Porter fight and picked him to lose that one, but he proved he's an elite fighter with that win, although I thought it was closer than people think, I had it 7-5. People are now saying Porter was a hypejob etc which is a joke.

I have Brook in my top 5 at 147 now, although I wouldn't argue if someone disagrees, he's still got a lot to prove.

if brook is so good, why has it taken him 33 fights to win the ibf at the age of 28 ? thats 3 fights more than khan

many users on this forum can easily name 5 of amir khans last opponents,

apart from shevchenko and porter can you honestly name any other boxer brook has fought?
