    Kovalev buries him.

    The LHW version who got decked by 40yr old Jones & dropped hard by a 43yr old B-Hop who has never remotely shown power at the weight?

    Kovalev walks straight threw him. It can be the Joe from the Lacy fight (same fighter just Lacy is balls) same result.

      how did calzaghe deal with bika? he barely won, bika landed all the big shots and calzaghe got beat up the last 4 rounds while fading badly. he even had to fake low blows to buy time. shameful. watch the fight except without being a blind fool. oh yeah and kelson pinto ko's calzaghe.

        will people stop overrating calzaghe. i keep hearing about these dominate performances that never even happened. calzaghe dominated kessler um no he didn't he won 7-5. calzaghe dominated hopkins...um no it was a robbery. calzaghe dominated bika um no it was a terrible fight where calzaghe did next to nothing and completely gassed. calzaghe-reid um he probably should have lost to robin reid...think about that for a second. calzaghe-lacy is the only fight he actually domianted and lacy was a bum who was often down on the cards or struggling to beat guys like omar sheika. what a shocker! even taylor schooled him. calzaghe had a chance to be great by fighting pavlik, dawson, hopkins rematch, froch, ward but retirement beckoned after his stellar career of fighting bums for 20 years.

          Pavlik?? Kelly's team had no intentions of even fighting Arthur Abraham, much less Calzaghe, then got embarrassed by Hopkins. Froch and Ward were nobodies before Calzaghe retired. The only fights there for Calzaghe were Dawson and Johnson. He should've fought Dawson, but how would that make him great? Chad wasn't that good.

          As far as this fantasy fight - Kovalev would drop Calzaghe many times, and Calzaghe would win rounds but probably not enough to overcome a points deficit if he could even make it the distance. A 175lbs Zaghe isn't the best Zaghe.

            pavlik's team tried to make the fight. calzaghe turned him down and fought jones so pavlik went after hopkins instead. this is well documented.

              Provide the documents. I was under the impression that team Pavlik chose the Hopkins fight as a way of trying to outdo Calzaghe without actually having to fight him, then it backfired in the worst way possible.

                uh no. calzaghe was a joke. he kept making excuses saying how pavlik didn't really want to fight him(even though pavlik offered him the fight) and how he offered pavlik a fight in 2006 before he was even a contender? it was pathetic. instead of fighting boxing biggest rising star he fought a completely shot fighter on a ppv that bombed. he even gave jones a 50-50 split for some spastic reason. that shows you calzaghe's character and how badly he cherry picked.

                Undisputed super middleweight champion Joe Calzaghe has gone on the record to turn down the challenge of WBC/WBO middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik, and says that a fight with former four-division champ Roy Jones Jr. is the right move for November 15.

                    ***8220;It***8217;s obvious nonsense,***8221; Arum said about Calzaghe***8217;s aforementioned remarks about Pavlik (34-0, 30 KOs). ***8220;Obviously, if he thought he could beat Kelly and have an easy time with Kelly, he would grab the Pavlik fight.***8221;

                    The two promoters had been in early talks about a Pavlik-Calzaghe matchup.

                    Warren: "I Wanted Joe Calzaghe To Fight Kelly Pavlik"

                    this is why he has the rightful nickname of cowardzaghe. he wouldn't even fight middleweight pavlik so stop with all your kovalev-calzaghe nonsense. he would never ever take that fight. it was a carefully cherry picked career against flat footed fighters like lacy and kessler and old men he thought he could pick off.

                      Calzaghe beats him, some people are overrating Kovalev but his resume isn't all that great. Before beating Hopkins his resume just included C and B level boxers. He beat a 49 year old Hopkins who no longer has a high work-rate.

                      A level boxers like Calzaghe they don't go down from jabs to the body.
