They're just words, there wasn't an offer made. Calzaghe just fought Hopkins at 175, was Kelly supposed to come up to LHW for that? If Calzaghe fought Pavlik, he would've schooled the daylights out of him. Pavlik couldn't even beat Argentina's version of Joe.

The RJJ win does nothing for Joe's career, but I don't feel bad for Roy, he made a career out of embarrassing subpar competition. It was "karma". Like I said, Joe should've fought Dawson or at least Johnson to end his career, but Pavlik? Easy work and a waste of time.

Offers were made and they were turned down, can you not read?

Were you following boxing then? It is common knowledge that Calzaghe turned down Pavlik to fight Jones instead.

You're saying it was a waste of time in hindsight but at the time it was a dangerous fight and a fight the fans wanted.

No actually I picked Hopkins to dominate. Learnt my lesson from the Trinidad fight.

What's this got to do with anything? It's literally completely irrelevant to anything.

You said Calzaghe didn't turn down Pavlik. You're wrong.

Did you not watch Pavlik-Taylor 2? Or let me once again use your saying, "did you just start watching boxing yesterday?". Pavlik looked anything but a monster in that fight and was already in decline. The same people who thought Pavlik had a shot at Calzaghe were also saying he'd KO Hopkins. What an incredible standard.

Dawson was a much bigger threat than Pavlik back then and he personally called out Calzaghe.

Again, what does this have to do with anything?

What is your point in bringing up these irrelevant points?

The fact still remains that he turned down Pavlik, a fight the fans wanted, to fight Roy Jones corpse.

The Kelly Pavlik fight wouldn't have even been on PPV. He was the flash in the pan puncher that everyone on NSB jumps on until they get exposed.

Calzaghe earned $10million to clown on an old Roy Jones.

              I repeat $10million.

It's the equivalent of what Froch is trying to do now with Chavez Jr. Chavez Jr is probably a worse opponent in all honesty.
