calzaghe's slapping won't get him far against kovalev.

I know Boxrec ranks him as the best lb for lb boxer of all time but reality is, Kovalev would walk through and KO him within 2 rounds.

Not strong enough! Simple as that. No firepower to fight back with.

Very interesting considering that Jeff Lacy was as highly regarded as Kovalev, the bookies even made him the favourite and Joe delivered what to me is the most one-sided fight gone 12 rounds.

PS: Joe just beats you at your own game. He beat up Lacy on the outside, he beat up Kessler exchanging, he beat Bhop at his dirtiest. Roy was old but nobody's clowned him like that. Outruffed Bika. Joe adapts and beats you at your own game.

dear god what in the world are you talking about. lacy hadn't fought a soul when he fought calzaghe. literally one guy ranked in the top 10 and that was someone ranked #8. kovalev just beat the #2 guy(also an all time great) on top of already beating 2 other top 5 guys. lacy was going life and death with omar sheika, and getting outboxed by syd vanderpool and donnell wiggins before coming to back to win.

the bookies made lacy a slight favorite because they didn't respect calzaghe or his terrible resume. it's no different than if berto had fought unheralded senchenko. if senchenko won that wouldn't him great now would it? jermain taylor won 11 of 12 rounds against lacy. dude was crapola.

come on dude. lacy was not as proven as kovalev at that time. he was seen as a guy with power and promise but still untested. he never looked as well rounded as kovalev. it was an impressive win tho for calzache and I think he would have given kovalev some problems. im not sure kovalev wouldnt have overpowered him tho

Dude, you're a moron! In the other thread you describe Pulev as a short fatty and now you compare Zaghe to Berto. You're an all time moron! Oh no my bad you compare Zaghe to Senchenko, you are beyond repair.

I think Lacy's career and that of Kovalev before Hopkins as far as opponents faced is very comparable. We don't really know how good Nathan is. Silkah? Campillo?

I don't know if you remember this put people were comparing Lacy to Tyson, on both sides of the Atlantic they were picking to murder Joe.

Lacy had more hype than Kovalev has even now.
