lol@pacf@gs scrambling to make this fight out as if it's a legit match-up. this is the second biggest cherry pick of the year(garcia took the honor of having the biggest cherrypick of 2014) when he fough salka). no way can a pacf@g justify this fight with all the killers in the ww division.Comment

Pacquiao hasn't beat anyone like Chris before. This is why I asked how you can come to the conclusion this is a mismatch.
Pacquiao is at his best when? When guys are coming forward, guys who stand in front of him. When guys box, he's had trouble. When guys move, he has trouble. So I imagine a pure boxer is going to be a difficult style for Pac to deal with.
But I realize we are at a stalemate here, we both view this fight differently and I don't think that will change. We'll just have to wait and see how it goes.
Glad we managed to have a decent discussion without name calling though

It's a catchweight because of Freddie Roach. Roach knows that Algieri is naturally the bigger guy, who really weighs in the 160s. Being that Algieri has all these physical advantages, Roach is trying to level the playing field with the catchweight.Comment

I already explained to you how it's a mismatch on paper.Pacquiao hasn't beat anyone like Chris before. This is why I asked how you can come to the conclusion this is a mismatch.

When guys box, he's had trouble? No, it took a little more than that. Just moving doesn't give Manny Pacquiao trouble. You need to be able to counter and also make him respect you.
Edit *** We're getting old NATAS, I know you know your **** and vice versa. Good to see us debating without the gloves coming off

the difference is that both ortiz and guerrero beat actual WW's!!!!! they put themselves in the position to rightfully get the floyd fight(gbp fighters, wbc titlist, etc.) algieri is only a few fights removed from espn. That's the same as saying Guerrero and Ortiz didn't earn the Mayweather fights IMO...they all came off big wins against maybe guys who were propped up to be better then they actually were (Berto, Provo..)
It is what it is..until the 2 big dogs fight, nobody will ever be a good enough opponent for either IMO.Comment
