Put Frampton on the spot then, Rigo and his management should release a statement telling Frampton that they are willing to fight in his hometown...that would bring the cash. Let's see what Frampton does then.
Fact is, Rigo is unwilling to travel to Ireland, that's the bottom line.
The second best fighter in the JFW division he will eventually have to fight Rigo. I'll give Frampton a pass for now because a line-up with Quigg is a reasonable fight, but after Quigg there is no other route to take.
As for Rigo he needs a fight too, maybe a fight with Santa Cruz before he fights Frampton.
Quigg - Massive fight in the UK, easier than Rigo and more money.
LSC - Easier than Rigo, more money.
Kid Galahad would probably sell better than Rigo ffs.
It's not like we're talking the Rod Salka's of the world either, LSC and Quigg are up there in the top 10 and both would make for much more entertaining fights.
It's common sense for him to fight Quigg & Santa Cruz first. Maybe while those fights are happening Rigo can find himself a fanbase so the reward justifies the risk.
folks like to forget that boxers are in it for a living. if i was frampton, i'd try my hand at the smaller fish first (quigg/lsc) and get that easier money, before i go and risk it all vs rigo. not only is it business sense, but common sense. frampton vs quigg/lsc is NOT stevenson v. fonfara or garcia v. salka. not even fking close.
if you here talkin about "fight to prove whose best" you not in touch with reality. its about $$ and for those who disagree, be honest w/ yourself and ask what you do.
