Sure, why not, if it's a £3mil purse Rigo will take home £600k(his biggest ever payday). He'd be a fool to turn that down.

On the other hand why would Kiko and Avalos get more than 20% of the purse yet bring less to the table

      • Rigondeaux should be a target with a big bullseye on his back, instead fighters/matchmakers are running scared...

Why should he be a target? I dont think a win over Rigo is as defining as you make it out to be. If it was people would actually want to fight the guy, instead your stuck with this amazing boxer who cant market himself, cant satisfy a crowd , and fights defensively even when his opponent has given up and is practically asking to be knocked out. I will never deny he has amazing skill, but it isnt utilised properly, and Rigo only has himself to blame for that.

But it won't be a £3 million fight. In fact it wouldn't even be a £1 million fight. In fact it would probably be less.

So if Frampton makes up 80% of the entire revenue income which is not far fetched, would Rigo be happy to go to Belfast to defend his title for £100k against Carl Frampton?

Obviously, but the way his ticket sales are being raved about it should be seeing
Big fights in the O2 and M.E.N do £3mill live gates.
500k purse is obviously on the low side, fight would clearly do more than that.

And so should you and all the other impatient premature ejaculators on this forum.
So why are you so keen and critical about LSC not fighting rigo yet? I dont get it. He's saying he wants to fight him and doesnt mention pricing himself out and yet you're flapping your gums as if hes ducking but Frampton isnt ducking because he mentioned the money lmao do you see your own hypocrisy? Jesus Christ take a knee dirk

I don't know how much they'd make, but I sincerely doubt it would be a £1 million fight. Especially if you're considering who's backing the fighters. None have big promoters/TV pumping heavy money into them.

Also, the fight would be in Belfast not in Manchester or London.

Yeah I know but I'm making the comparison if the man can easily sell out a 16000 capacity arena in Belfast fighting Tom,**** and Harry easilyhow does he only do 1/4 the gate revenue of a 20,000 arena fighting Rigo.

Why would he fight Rigondeaux now when there's no money in the fight?

Whereas he can take a much easier fight in Scott Quigg where he'll earn 2 or 3 times what he'd earn fighting Rigondeaux. It's a massive fight in the UK.

Explain the logic and don't reply with some candy-cane pie in the sky Disney **** about "wanting to prove you're the best".

I'm sure he does want to prove he's the best but not by going against all logic and common sense.
Well . . . first of all . . . there is this thing in sports . . . it is called "greatness" and some of the also-rans and paper champions in the annals of the sweet science have aspired for it but few have achieved it. I agree that the fight that makes most sense is the Scott Quigg fight and that is clearly the big fight they want. But should he defeat Quigg and should Rigo defeat LSC then I would argue that "greatness" would dictate a superfight between the two remaining titleholders at 122lbs. Money wouldn't be an issue then and the fight could easily be accommodated in Ireland, homeland of Gary Hyde - Rigo's manager.
