Comments Thread For: Frampton's Manager: No Rigondeaux, He Brings No Money

you don't have to be a businessman to understand that the scott quigg fight has to be frampton's next major bout. they would be idiots to pass on a golden opportunity like this. (and it should hopefully be a fun fight for us viewers too). however if frampton fights and beats quigg and still shows no interest in facing rigondeaux afterwards, then i will be disappointed. he has too much talent to settle for second place without even trying to test his mettle against the very best. carl is a fighting man and i'm sure he would be delighted at the opportunity face a living legend like rigo (he was quoted as saying it would be an honour, right?), but his management and promoter may decide to wrap him in cotton wool to protect their new cash cow.

You be honest with yourself ... if you were Frampton's manager, would you be trying to match him with Rigo now?

A little off topic but is there anyone who thinks that Frampton wouldn't schooled by Rigo? I think he would and it wouldn't even close. Rigo needs to move up to featherweight because the 122lb "champions" don't want to fight him regardless of his two belts. I know that Rigo is small even in this weightclass, but I think with his quality he can bridge the weight/height gap in featherweight even against the top dogs and he can rule that weightclass as well.
