Went to sleep and woke up to this, damn I missed it
Anyway I don't agree with his managers statement to a certain degree. Personally I don't think Frampton is ready, and having seen Frampton name his next possible 4 interest, I'm pretty sure he will keep his word and challenge Rigo in due time. He mentioned Leo, Scott, Mares and Jhonny in his foreseeable future and 3 of those 4 names have already fired back a response.
Now, that's not to say this isn't looking too good for Frampton. We already know Rigo doesn't bring much money in, fighting Rigo is more or less about glory nowadays rather than a hefty pay check. Sadly this comment however seems to be making an excuse when not too long ago Frampton said he was willing to fight Rigo in the future. I'll still uphold his word true unless he starts to fight low tier opposition for the sake of keeping his "0". Hope Rigo can somehow manage to make something bigger out of his career so this excuse won't be continuously made by everyone and their mother.
Rigo is a difficult fighter to deal with from what I've read and seen. He is very much stubborn to remain in his ways and if it works for him, he won't change a thing. That's what has been consistent throughout his career, however in this age and time fighters that are developed into stars are those whom are willing to change and evolve with the game and accordingly. For instance Marquez, he was once called boring, etc… However he adjusted his style and made it more fan friendly and wound up to be a late blooming Mexican Legend. Rigo on the other hand is contented with cruising to a UD with no sense taking risks since he is comfortable winning soundly, and that alone makes him a hard ticket, that comfort in coasting through fights rather than "blasting" out his opposition. Add Caribe Promotions BS to the whole ordeal and you have a talented fighter having to scramble around to get one decent fight, sad.. but true.
Anyway let's see where it goes from here.
