If you're not chavez Jr's manager then those numbers are pure speculation. Chavez Jr. wants out and bob should let him out.

Bob has also made jr millions beyond his worth as a fighter. Kinda goes hand in hand.

Really? Because I've never seen Blob get in the ring and take a punch from Sergio Martinez or give Jr his last name.... What's the point of a contract term length if Blob is allowed to shelve him at the end unless he re-signs? How would you like it if towards the end of your Cable TV contract they were able to shut your TV's off completely for 18 months unless you re-upped your "commitment" to them? You'd lose your mind. Rightfully.

I can't believe bob arum is the only promoter to not get in the ring and fight. What has boxing become???

If my cable was off I'd probably end up having more kids... Terrible analogy.

One reason why all that trash about Floyd ducking Margarito is just that. Does anyone really think that Arum offered the fight WITHOUT Floyd signing an extension? Instead Floyd fought for the Lineal WW title and then ODH to become the cash cow and the highest paid fighter in history!

I still don't understand why people want to side with Arum when a fighter decides he doesn't want to sign any contract extension. Nobody knows for sure how much more money could Chavez Jr make with other promoter or as a free agent. And at worst case scenario even if Chavez would care about the advise of many posters that hate him, it is good to remember that dignity and liberty don't have a price.
