I heard 2 fight deal - $7 mil for GGG then either $5 or $10 mil for his next depending on whether he won or lost - didn't hear about any time extension though.
Or he coulda fought Golovkin for $2 mil + PPV share (estimated 1.5 - 2 mil) so say $3.5 mil, without the extension - still, hardly a bum deal. His highest purse to date was $3 mil against Maravilla (who got $1.4mil) and his star can hardly be said to have risen since then
Sounds like the same kinda deal with Froch, cept of course Froch would want a bigger share than GGG.
It's not a particularly pleasant aspect of the sport, but you can understand promoters' wanting to hang on to their moneymakers.
Given that he was guaranteed $12 mil - $17 mil for 2 fights (ie a minimum of double his best ever purse in each on average) it's hardly like Arum was offering to bend him over. And this on the back of not particularly inspiring performances against journeyman Vera.
