Mr. I beat Petr Petrov, Victor Ortiz and Adrien Broner but lost every time I've faced a world class fighter but roughed up Floyd on the ropes a couple times so I'm so amazing, so much better then the undefeated LHW who's taken out multiple top 15 fighters in his division by his 25th fight

Let me guess... Maidana also hits harder then Kovalev, right?

(I'm only talking about Maidana because you are clueless as hell and making silly posts about Kovalev)
But that's strange that you have never ever word any critic on Kovalev (or at least I didn't see that) you just praise him. And you tend to call the more critic posters as laymen to boxing...
I understnad that he is (one of) you favourite(s) but you should still value him objectively, not just praise him. I also have favourite fighters (a you can see in my sig) but I oftenly word some critic on them as well. So try to be a little more objective. Just my opinion, just an advise, it's up to you if you listen to it or not.

That's the best recent example I can think of.

Kovalev isn't unskilled. I think he's better than Kelly Pavlik - the people making that comparison are being lazy. But people trying to compare him to Mayweather are ******ed.

I have been critical. His stamina is untested.... He has never been in the championship rounds. He throws 100 punches per round, how will he hold up in the later rounds?

That's the only question mark I have as far as his ability goes...

Besides that, what is there to criticize? He's never ducked anyone, he was chasing champions and legends of the sport before he even had 20 fights. He fought in a champions backyard to take his belt. He fought his first 15 or so fights for free (literally) He immediately called out the lineal champ after winning his title back in August. He got ducked. He time and time again made it clear he wants to unify the division and fight for greatness, not to trick fans into thinking he's something he's not.

What is there to criticize? He wants to prove his greatness. His time is now, give him his chance. Yet you have posters calling him a bum because he hasn't taken out the whole P4P list by the time of his 25th fight.

I think one thing that people are overlooking is kovalev's amateur career. I hear guys say the ams mean nothing but kovalev had over 200 fights. He will have seen tons of styles and he's performed pretty well against him. He definitely has the skills and he's performed well enough to warrant him a top contender. He doesn't duck either. While I want hopkins to win I believe that kovalev is currently the best light heavyweight under hopkins. And if he beats hopkins or when he inevitably retires then kovalev will rightfully take his place.

He has amazing power but he's not a flat footed brawler guys. The only possible flaw I see at the moment may be conditioning but we can't say for sure since he's never gone for 12 rounds.

He didn't pressure Baldomir at any point of the fight.

But he has put pressure on fighting many many times.

Not sure why or how Floyd came up.

But Kovalev beat Campillo by his 19th fight. In destructive fashion. That's impressive. Campillo should of been unified champ at that point. Cleverly was a top 5 LHW as well, IMO. Kovalev was the worst possible matchup for him.

But either way, Kovalev is still on the rise.... forget about resume. That's what he's attempting to do now, but you know that (i see you're just responding to posters who mentioned Floyd for some reason, though)

Kovalev hasn't had enough time to develop a resume yet.... but most fighters by their 25th fights are still fighting journeyman and part time boxers. Kovalev has beaten a unified champ, top 5 LHW in his backyard, and a handful of top 15-20 boxers in the division (for what its worth) He's fighting another top 5 LHW now. Then his manager said he will chase another one in Adonis if he beats Hop (who ducked him)

He's off to a good start. He's in his 30's, so the way his career plays out will be if fighters step in the ring with him. If he beats Hopkins he will have 3 belts and surely, you would imagine Adonis/Braehmer/Pascal would step in the ring for those 3 belts.

I am not talking about resumes... I am talking about ******ed fans, who always **** on Kovalev and GGG because they cant fight backwards like for example Floyd, but at the same time their favorite fighters cant be offensive as GGG and Kovalev are. They are using this weakness to call Kova and GGG bums etc... while close one's eyes to weaknesses of their favorite fighters.

Well Mayweather can clearly fight going forwards. If you're not talking about resume then why did you bring up names on Mayweather's resume? Point is he's proven he can fight forwards, backwards, every which way.

Golovkin and Kovalev have not proved they can fight going backwards.
