Fury contradicts himself a lot - he says money isn't important to him, yet following from his 'lose and retire' plan, he says he will continue fighting if he's offered good money. And a few other instances. Hard to tell when Fury is really being himself or crossing over between personas.

Fury has a lot of people riding on him...he may well say, vis a vis contradict himself (as you say) but he will not stop fighting and leave his family with no means. Hes a nice guy and one can well see that he would fight on, so his kids and extended family are taken care of. I am the bread winner in this family I know where he is coming from... sometimes money is what is needed and he is ready to ac accordingly.

People say a lot of things...and there really are scorpions and frogs in the world (you know the frog carries the scorpion across the water...yada yada) Fury is a frog. He talks tough but another frog can see right through it. What is very sad is that this is a man who probably will have days where it takes incredible courage to fight on and do what needs to be done, depression is no joke.

Well oh well, a lot of truth here.

Fury is still a big kid, his career has been fast over the last couple years and now he is in a big title fight. There is the Johnathon Banks interview somewhere in this thread too, Banks touching upon how several (other, new, yet unseen) factors come into play when in a world title fight, the biggest moment of your career. For instance you think about your family. It appears to be good for Fury to have his father by his side this time building up.

It would be to Fury's greatest advantage of course if he can approach this fight as relaxed as he portrays himself, 'nothing to lose'.

I think what people don't seem to appreciate about Fury is his gypsy background. People might not think it matters but it does.

These gypsies really have no fear. They are a special breed of people when it comes to fighting. They don't think like other people think. It's a mentality issue.

I don't think would doubt himself ever. But he's smart enough to know that wladimir has incredible one punch KO power in both hands.

I said its debatable who has the better chin. pulev was only down once before wlad and it was more an off balance knockdown as he got up clear eyed and dominated the rest of the round. obviously his chin looked suspect against wlad but wlad was landing some clean thunder and can dent any chin when he commits to his punches as he did that night. obviously fury looked suspect against cunningham but he did get through it with a win

Pulev looks like he's got a good chin. Probably has a better chin than most others. But his defense is absolute ****e! McCall or Vitali or Tyson or anyone else you can think of with a solid chin, I don't care who you are - you let a guy like Wlad take free shots on your chin you're going down.

Anyone can get down, but the ones that get up and fights on is the true fighting man. Fury got up.

Fury won't allow Wlad to land clean on him ala Pulev. He's going to box and move all night.

yea,,,,I agree with all that. fury isnt going to lay down without a fight. I got wlad by mid to late kayo but wouldnt be surprised much if fury pulled the upset. he has a good gas tank and throws alot of punches. if hes careful and doesnt get too reckless in there he has a real chance. cant wait for this fight
