if you weigh it up, and look at wlads hardest most recent fight (which he fought like a complete ******) he hasnt really looked that impressive.

his match making is usually on point and i actually think hes going to seriously consider fighting briggs.
I was lazily watching that video embedded in your post and thinking to myself "Wow, that's some pretty full on wrestling-like clinches, that must get tiring by the 6th, 7th etc rounds" and as I watched maybe the 4th or 5th huge blatant octopus clinch, thought to myself "That's got to be one massive clinch a round, surely when it gets to the middle rounds, the ref has to start thinking of at least warning him" then I look down and see in the corner of the screen that we are only 30 seconds in to the first ****ing round!!!

I nearly fell off my chair. I remember it being bad, but that is well beyond bad. That is into twilight zone, another realm, ****ing absurd territory. When you fight Wlad, you enter Wlad's own special clinchiverse. How the ref doesn't say anything is a disgrace. Even worse is that many, if not all, of his most ardent fans will have the gall to then go and criticise someone like Mayweather, who on his very worst day, will do that same amount of obvious clinches across a whole 12 round fight...but to do that many within the first 30 seconds of the very first round...and keep that same pattern up for a whole fight.

It's a disgrace, and it's unbelievable how these so called boxing fans defend it.

Actually there has to be an explanation. Elroy will explain it I am quite sure. You see Vlad does no wrong....there are what might be termed "flukes", a fluke is defined as " an event that caused catastrophe to Vlad and is out of Vlad's control. So, when Vlad lost to Sanders it was a "fluke" where Vlad underestimated Sanders and would never happen again. When Vlad got dropped by Brewster, it was poison, or a medical condition, perhaps giantism. oh never mind that would be Valuev.

With this Povatkin fight the Fluke was Povatkin decided to rush in when trying to punch Vlad! So povatkin was essentially as responsible for the clinches as Vlad. Povatkin had no right to try to step foward when punching Vlad! I have this on good authority: Sven ottke's ref told me so!

Wlad got the same cut - if not worse - against Thompson but did not withdraw then because he was in control.

Sam Peter? I can't give anybody respect for going life and death and having to run , hold and foul against an embarrassment like Peter.
Watch his fight with Vitali again to see how utterly pathetic he was.

If Wlad was a great like his clown fans say , Peter would have been running and holding Wlad , not the other way around.
A lot of these idiots think Sam peter was a terror. If one has the slightest common sense one can see Peter has no footwork to speak of, is slow and would not last a minute against a decent heavyweight. Yet this guy was able to catch Vlad...that is sad.

He's taken many shots over the years that very well would of put him in his place a little over a decade ago. It's not opinion, he seems to be more resistant.
