Charr & Perez have not defeated an opponent on the same level as a Chisora or a Cunningham. Yes, Fury was dropping by the former world champion Cunningham, but as usual, you ignore the context. Fury was messing around in the ring, dropped his hands and got caught. If you think Fury is going to go into the Wladimir fight with the same mindset that he went in against Cunningham, you're an idiot.
Fury put on a masterclass, both against Chisora, and Hammer. Just because Fury completely neutralised Chisora with his tactics does not suddenly make Chisora a bum.
Fury does things in the ring that I've never seen before from a man his size. The guy has serious skills and if you can't see it, you know nothing about boxing.
ok.

I like Tyson Fury but he can't be considered the 2nd best HW yet.
Perhaps as high as 5th or 6th maybe.
All we can say with certainty is that he is much better than Wilder who despite being champ, is questionable whether he could really be in the top 10 considering his only 2 top victories (Scott and Stiverne) were both devalued or flat out shonky respetively.
Putting on a class act vs Chisora and grinding out Cunningham don't exactly qualify for the upper eschelons of excellence.
I kind of reserve #2 for Povetkin. That's the way it should be rated until determined otherwise.
3-5 is harder to rank, but I'd put Fury in this range. I don't know that Wilder is top 5, he might be, but he is behind Fury, for sure.Last edited by Drunken Cat; 10-14-2015, 04:31 AM.

I could live with:
1. Wladimer
2. Povetkin
3. Fury
4. Pulev
5. ???
I was going to put Wilder at 5, but I don't think I can do that. I think there are a number of guys in the division who would likely beat him.

and that makes him a top 10 heavyweight when fury beat him (with an illegal punch)

Cunningham was robbed blind against Adamek, and was also robbed against Glazkov, the guy now mandatory for Wladimir.
As for an illegal punch, Fury was putting a severe beating on him and the KO was going to come regardless. Try actually watching fights before commenting on stuff you don't understand.
