So the Nilson Julio Tapia fight made GGG a legit MW champion.

But Cotto beating the Lineal, aging, and injured MW champion of the world in spectacluar fashion at a catchweight doesnt make him a legit MW champion.

        Interesting.
        Yeah, pretty much.

Wel hopefully we can call the local supermarket to get Cotto a Julio Nilson Tapia figt on his off day to legitamize his MW reign.

Beating lineal MW champions when everyone picked said guy to knock you out just doesnt cut it these days.

Yes. Critical thinking says that Mayweather, you know the best fighter on planet earth is a much harder fight and light years a better win. Its not even close.
what does this have to do with what i posted? take floyd's **** out of your mouth for once smh.

are you really questioning that golovkin is the harder fight than cotto for anyone at middleweight? it's not just about who they fought. you have to consider everything. first, it's the ****ing middleweight division ffs. golovkin has the size, height and oversupply of power for that division. he got the skills too. cotto is just too small for that division, he was 155 for the weigh-in if you were paying attention. even at 154, he's clearly smaller than the other guys at that weight.

golovkin would knock cotto and mayweather out on the same night, but this was funny.

As I recall it, nearly 35% of those polled on this very website picked Cotto to defeat Martinez.

Also, 7 of our own 13 writers predicted Cotto to win the bout. 8 if you count Ernest Gabion's prediction that somehow included a prediction for both guys.

I'm sure there were plenty of other boxing writers and insiders who predicted Cotto would win the bout, as well. The point is, the fight was nowhere near as pro-Martinez as you're portraying it to have been.

The only way Cotto is better is it's for the Lineage.

Obviously Golovkin would be the much better win. It would be a pretty damn incredible win considering the size difference but floyd fighting at 160 lbs is just not realistic.

If he fights Cotto I bet it's at 155 catchweight.

Mayweather-Cotto being for the MW lineage, astounding that that's even a possibility.
