That B.U.R.N.E.R guy is single handily Eithering about 5 or 6 six of BoxingScenes most notorious trolls in this one thread.

The beating ya'll taking is worse than what Cotto did to Martinez Saturday night...

Most people rightfully don't accept Cotto as the lineal middleweight champion. At the end of the day, he has the title on paper but no one is expecting him to defend that strap against actual middleweights; the fighters I hear coming up are welterweights or Jr. middleweights.

GGG would be a better name on his resume because GGG is a fully fledged middleweight. I also think it is worth noting that Mayweather would not consider moving up in weight and fighting GGG, nor would reasonable people expect it; with Cotto, most people acknowledge as a viable option because he is an easier target.

In my books the lineal champion is someone who would be expected to fight all fighters in their division. To that end, I don't acknowledge Cotto as the lineal champion because he has not proven himself enough in the welterweight division, and I don't expect him to. For the record, I only acknowledge Mayweather as the lineal champion in the welterweight division.

Well outside of what's on paper and the accolades Cotto got while going where better pfpf fighters dared not. There really isn't a damn thing better about rematching Cotto at somewhere above 154 over fighting GGG at the same.. GGG is the real middleweight, the better middleweight and the obviously greater challenge.

Guys like Mayweather, Pacquiao, Cotto, Duran, Leonard, Jones, Hopkins, and Marquez have proved one weight class isn't the limit of their skills and greatness, GGG while I agree is a very talented fighter, hasn't shown me as much to put him in a pound 4 pound class regardless of what he's done @ MW, which isn't much. He's old enough to do what Martinez did when he wasn't getting the respect he thought he deserved, he went up in class and took it. Glovkin and his fans act like fighters should come to him, but it's not happening so until he's ready to go out there and do what most people think he won't do, he's going to remain where he at.

In boxing is always about your resume but people tend to fall in love with the knockout but if you haven't face tough opposition then you're consider unproven unless you're on NSB

Because people love to hype up untested KO artists.

While Golovkin is winning "Who would win" polls vs Froch, Kessler and is able to duck Ward; Cotto has actually won real fights.

                  Dared not?

Cotto demanded a catchweight so obviously you give him absolutely no credit and consider that a cherry pick don't you?

So wait, Cotto is not a legit MW champion, despite holding the 160 WBC and Ring titles, that he took from The Ring/WBC champ who was holding these titles in a fight where Cotto was underdog(Please, Cotto was underdog). But beat Tapia makes GGG legit? It makes his title win so much more legit than Cotto's?

                    What!?

So because Leonard wasn't planning on staying at 160 or beating "all" the fighters at MW, him beating the 4-1 favorite Ring champ Marvin Hagler at 160 doesn't make him the 160 Lineal champ?(controversial decision aside)

I would like to read this book of yours.

                      I see this a lot and it's a ****** line of thinking.

Sometimes they even think that fighter should move up to the next division up. It's like when Whitaker beat Vasquez for the Jr MW title and expecting him to then move up to 160 and fight Hopkins.

Anyway, Cotto is the Lineal Champion and that's a fact. As crazy as that sounds and he's got to be one of, if not the weakest of all time.
