It's not a bad fight. Ward is too busy with career management problems and Chavez isnt ****** enough to be strong armed by Arum so Geale is a decent consolation.

Plus staying at 160 seems right money wise (outside of Froch or Chavez at 168). Roach seems to think Cotto can beat anyone and who better to prove that against (that is if a canelo fight materializes and he gets by him). We could potentially be seeing Canelo vs GGG in 5 de Mayo (potentially...if Canelo beat Lara, then Cotto end of year). That could bump off any Floyd card. Imagine... Canelo vs GGG to unify... Or Cotto vs GGG to unify. Oscar and Arum would jump at that to spite Floyd.

GGG, similar to Martinez finally finds himself within reach of tge meaningful fights. Just a bit more time and he'll have someone who will let him prove himself. Canelo (wants to) and Cotto take on all comers.

Who cares about The Ring ratings seriously? If you watch enough Boxing, you know Geale is a tough fighter. Being ranked #2 does not make him more legit.

Proksa and Stevens in the Top 10 lol

there are well documented instances where virtually every top MW has ducked golovkin.

dibella was quite candid in explaining that sergio didn't need to take a beating like that to end his career.

golovkin - geale is a fight on hbo. it's not he best opponent, but at least it's a fight.

you get paid to box, you know.

            nobody......

golovkin would have stopped martinez in a few rounds last night.

            zero credit would be given.

hell, golovkin may have blown martinez out in the first round. he's got a better jab than cotto, and a harder left hook. cotto doesn't have a pillow right hand, but it's not huge.

golvokin has a HUGE right hand, and martinez wouldn't have any way to get away from it.

I'm not sure there's even anyone at 168 Golovkin could beat and get credit for, except Ward. Just look at the threads when word came out about Golovkin/Kessler being possible in the future. Suddenly Golovkin was cherry picking and Geale was a better fight.

i hate to talk about a hard working fighter like geale like this, but he's a knockout to add to your highlight reel.

Hassan N'dam. Just because he has a different style than the likes of Macklin, Stevens and Geale. He is a good boxer with fast hands and he could give GGG some problems if he stays disciplined.

Yea... I don't get the Stevens placement. That's what a constant presence in 2013 and a weak end of the division can do
