I don't want to see Golovkin-Andy Lee after because no one else is available at middleweight.

I don't want to see him just go for the easy fight at SMW Chavez jr. If that can't be made he said himself; he's ready for ANYONE at 154-168.

Next has to be either Cotto, Alvarez, Mayweather, Ward, Froch, Groves, Kessler, Bika or Abraham.
I know you're eager but you have to realize, GGG is campaigning at MW and his objective should be to clean out the MW division. Daniel Geale is a GREAT opponent selection and it will give us an idea of how GGG stacks up against the best in this division (as weak as it may be).

You're rankings right now should look something like (I'm assuming Martinez is retiring):

    C: Cotto - Part Time..not happening
    1: Golovkin
    2: Quillin
    3: Geale
    4: Soliman
    5: Murray
    6: Sturm
    7: Lee
    8: Macklin
    9: N'Dam
    10: Rubio

That's the pool of fighters he needs to focus on right now. You build your resume, your fan base and your legacy by beating fighters on that list first and foremost. Then you can start worrying about 168.

There is no reason to criticize the selection of Geale. You're talking about a fight between 2 of the best 5 MWs in the world right now.

I have no issues with GGG/Geale fight
When Golovkin is a champ at 168lbs, then I will expect Golovkin to fight Ward if Ward is still relevent at 168lbs then. Golovkin still wants to clean house at 160lbs.

Ward just needs to sort his career out and fight, he is a bigger diva than Mariah Carey.

Sorry all if I've come across as a hater, i will sing golovkins praises if and when he fights an elite-level fighter.
How come a guy with no decent wins at MW wont move up and fight the king of the SMW division? You said he hasnt even accomplished anything in his own division what sense would that make to move up? Why would he be deserving of a fight with Ward by your logic anyway?

                  Whats the point?
                  • They're boxers, who have to fight to get paid
                  • GGG is probably the best middleweight and Geale is top 5, he could conceivably win
                  • It should be an entertaining fight for the fans
                  • Its better than doing nothing all year ala Andre Ward

Yes I said he hasn't fought an elite-level fighter. But he said he's ready for anyone 154-168. There are plenty of world level fighters at super-middleweight willing to fight, and Golvkin said he's willing to go there.

He's deserving of ward because the money makes sense for both guys and GGG pulls in the ratings.

Which guys at 168 are willing and able again for July? I seem to recall Chavez jr pulling out. Kessler not ready till late in the year. Froch no. Ward promotion problems. So who again?
