Can someone explain the point of Golovkin-Geale?

It's too bad N'dam pulled out two different times when ordered to fight GGG.
Anyways, no one would give him credit on NSB for beating N'dam. They'd just so "oh well he already lost to Quillin so he must suck".Comment

Geale has never been stopped. He's ranked #2 at middleweight by The Ring.
Come on now, it makes a LOT of sense for the #1 middleweight to face the #2.Last edited by The Hammer; 06-08-2014, 01:11 PM.Comment

i saw that kid fight quillin live in barclays. he's lucky quillin took a bunch of breaks, because he was a sitting duck for power punches.
he's a very athletic guy, but golovkin is too schooled in addition to being too powerful.
i can respect what you're saying, in that ndam would be a style that would further the maturation process of golovkin. as you alluded to, and i agree with it, he's fast / athletic. golovkin would learn some things, or at least experience something new as a pro, in fighting a guy like that.
that said, two things:
1. golovkin would get zero credit in NSB
. that's just the way it goes here.
2. he would f#cking destroy ndam. that poor guy wouldn't have an iceberg's chance in hell of getting out of the way of the power. golovkin's jab is too educated, and will back ndam to the ropes.
i will watch the ndam - quillin fight again if golovkin signs to fight him, but i didn't see anything that would trouble golovkin to any great extent.Comment

Yea, he might've lost his chance because now GGG has the opportunity to unify the IBF and there's a slight chance with Quillin.
N'Dam had his chance, so he can't really complain. Nobody would give him credit anyway since nobody is going to do it for Geale eitherComment

I'll undoubtedly get hyped up and watch this when it's on. I get what people are saying, fair points have been made. I hope after he can get a big fight, but he's got to make it happen.
I don't want to see Golovkin-Andy Lee after because no one else is available at middleweight.
I don't want to see him just go for the easy fight at SMW Chavez jr. If that can't be made he said himself; he's ready for ANYONE at 154-168.
Next has to be either Cotto, Alvarez, Mayweather, Ward, Froch, Groves, Kessler, Bika or Abraham.Comment

Maybe he should do what Ward does, don't fight no one and ***** and moan 24/7 on HBO.
Geale is a top 10 middleweight, former world champ.
Hopefully Golovkin can get some unification bouts soon though.Comment

Funny you should mention Ward in this thread. Team GGG told the whole world they were willing and ready to fight anyone from 154-168, but when Lara and Ward answered the challenge, their story changed.
I have no issues with GGG/Geale fightComment
