boxrec is a accurate as you are going to get it does not matter if the fighter fought in another country or started his career in another country as long as there is a commision the fight will be in the records all of chavez early fights were in mexcio and mexcio has a boxing commision they do not keep records based on when a fighter fought a "famous" fighter ...to make sure i went back to boxrec and got the records to some of the names i mentioned and the record were accurate for example if chavez was their 1st. fight it is listed and it list all the other fights they had after chavez...if chavez was their 12th. fight it shows all the fights prior to that ....so i am not leetting anyone of the hook with that excuse..
breaking news:
you can put incomplete data in a coherent structure
anyway even if that was the exact record of chavez opponents, go and take a look at sugar ray robinson record
Its not hit and run. Its hit and not get hit. Thats what boxing is. Not hit and get hit. That's bar room brawling.
yes but what you dont understand is that all of those boxers styles are quite similar. its the classic american crap. if your gonna box in that style at least look good doin it.
chavez was a great fighter and an icon in mexico and of the sport... but the fact is his record is padded he fought a taxi driver and a garbage man ...i went to boxrec and added up some numbers of chavez thru his 1st. 44 fights and this what i came up with :
1. the win-loss record of his opponets was 203-213..
2. of these fighters 11 made their pro debut against
chavez.
3.of the opponents in his 1st. 44 fights only 10 had
wining records and i was generous i just counted if they
had more wins than losses..
4. 26 of his 1st. 44 opponents had 6 fights or less prior
to facing chavez..
i am sorry but the numbers do not lie if this is not padding your record i don't know what is.. this should answer your question on weather he fought bums thru his 1st. 40 plus fights ..remember i only did his 1st. 44 fights, he fought guys with horrible records after this here are some examples :
1. in his 51st. fight his opponent was roberto lindo record
who had a record of 1-12..
2. in his 67 th. fight his opponent was ramon aramburu who
had a record of 0-0.
3. in his 79th. fight his opponent was ignacio pedromo who
had a record of 1-0...
these 3 examples above took place when he was allready established with atleast 50 fights and was allready a world champion what would people say if tito or dlh at 32 or 34 fights fought a guy with 0-0 or 0-1 record ????.. so why should chavez be excempt??....like i said in my opening i think chavez was a great fighter and a hof had some great fights and was a warrior.. i just explained why chavez record is padded now you or anyone else tell me why it is not ??
jose luis ramirez, edwin rosario, and hector camacho to name a few.
a few? that and taylor were his ONLY good wins, he is overrated, but not WAY overrated, he cant be a bad fighter if he did what he did to taylor, although taylor shoulda got the win he did what he had to do to put himself in postion like that, great chin, great heart, great stamina, and a real good punch, his record isnt really anything though

Right on the money.
When it's high time he fought Elites. He got beat and beat bad.
** You should sue your Mommy for beating you with the dumb stick.
Boxrec is a fine website, but admits they don't have comprehensive records for many fighters outside the US, and in fact don't have all the records for many fighters in the US from the earlier days in boxing.
When you go look at records, often there will be a series of records as 0-0, or 0-1, or 1-0, when in fact some of these fighters may have had 10-40 unrecorded bouts. These places don't even have commissions.
Just ONE of his latter day oponents has a record of 178-13-2, so obviously your win/loss figures are as dumbed up as you are.
Terrence Ali, Greg Haugen, Taylor was undefeated and wunderkind of his day when Chavez ran over him with a truck and ruined his career, Angel Hernandez was undefeated,
Just as a note to his record being padded early on... So the **** what? Most fighters, especially outside the US, are. This isn't a newsflash nor does it diminish what they do beyond the start of their careers.
