i think he means everytime he fought someone great he lost. how can you be considered an all time great without beating the best fighters of your era?

1-0, 0-1 and the like dont mean that the fighters actually have such small records... it means they didnt input any previous fights before that.

an example can be seen in SRR record with fighters with 0-0, 1-0s 0-1s dont mean those guys actually had such little experience. It simply means they were unknown till they fought the famous guy.. and if they lost and never made another big appearance thats where they ended.

You would especially get such if u had gotten pro experience in a country other than the U.S.
boxrec is a accurate as you are going to get it does not matter if the fighter fought in another country or started his career in another country as long as there is a commision the fight will be in the records all of chavez early fights were in mexcio and mexcio has a boxing commision they do not keep records based on when a fighter fought a "famous" fighter ...to make sure i went back to boxrec and got the records to some of the names i mentioned and the record were accurate for example if chavez was their 1st. fight it is listed and it list all the other fights they had after chavez...if chavez was their 12th. fight it shows all the fights prior to that ....so i am not leetting anyone of the hook with that excuse..
