If there was a fight I would've believe he may not get up for, I'd choose Ortiz or Guerrero, and we saw what happened there.
He had time to get up for both of those guys. Was well-rested and able to build that hunger again.

He always talks about he cant overlook an opponent ect ect... but I dont think his mental game is as sharp as it could be for this fight.

and to me what makes him p4p best is his consistency. If that starts to erode..that will be the beginning of the end for Floyd.
        No I disagree there.

        Floyd clearly respects Maidana.

He's known about Maidana since the Ortiz fight because he spoke about it in the Ortiz build up.

He's taking him very seriously as he does every fighter.

Interesting. Don't remember hearing him talk about Chino -- what did he say?

I agree, he looks better now.

            Stronger, and faster.

And he's not well-rested now? He doesn't have time to get up for Maidana with the same damn two month training camp? You serious today?

Always does? This will be his third fight in a year span. When's the last time that happened? Before he fought Guerrero how long had he been out of the ring? How about Ortiz?

Go and watch his pad work for example in the build up for Ortiz compared to the build up for Canelo. The difference in speed, and all round sharpness is striking.

Obviously he's still very sharp now but it's plain as day to see that he's much much much slower now in every area physically since 2011 which is understandable considering it was 3 years ago.

In the All Access episode, Floyd kinda clowned Broner. Said Broner was spending time making p-ornos, etc. And Floyd said he told Broner that it may LOOK like he's partying, but he's really TRAINING. Indirectly letting everyone know that it's a LIE/ILLUSION that he parties and ****. And he said Maidana out-hustled Broner, and told him that it's different at this level. That it's different facing elite fighters than those regular fighters he fought. And his father added his two cents too.
