How much is Floyd Mayweather throwing his money around just an act for the cameras? Because if he really spends his money that way he might end up broke and i doubt any of his entourage will spare him a room if he falls on hard times.

We can agree to disagree. I don't think, since 2011, he looks too much different. That's just an example.
I think you're just looking at the dominant performances and taking it as he's still the same guy.
He's not, not even close.
Obviously he's still very quick but I cannot understand how you can look at the two fight and say he's the same fighter.
It's so obvious to me how much considerably slower he is in every area. Especially hand speed.
I don't know man. I don't see a big difference is speed or reflexes.Comment

That's a great point.
He had added weight of course but he reflexes were clearly so much slower, clearly. Yeah he dominated the fight but that doesn't always tell the story.
I remember us going back and forth about Floyd's slippage before the Ortiz fight. You said he'd slipped I said he hadn't. Felt the same way after the Ortiz fight.
From that fight onward, there's been a clear and obvious steady decline.Comment

Exactly lol. How do you know Garcia's ethnic background and native city but not his name
.
I believe Mayweather does study tape, regardless of what he says. Is he just regurgitating what he hears when he says Maidana is a big puncher? Hell no, he's seen it for himself.Comment

I don't know why people are surprised that these shows are getting boring after seeing guys like Mayweather and Pacquiao on them so many times. Watching them flash cash, praise jeebus, showoff cars, and say cringe worthy stuff gets old quick. It's not like their back stories are going to change.Comment

It's funny because if you look at the Ortiz fight now, he looks waaaay quicker than he did against Guerrero/Alvarez. Like night and day. Plus, that fight was three years ago. Three years! That's a long effin time in boxing. That's a great point.

When I saw the Ortiz fight, I saw a noticeable difference from the Mosley fight.
Then the first two rounds of the Guerrero fight, he looked like crap IMO. Perhaps it was ring rust, because he was elusive and moved around quicker with his legs then he had in a minute the rest of the fight.Comment

Oh he most definitely does and it's clear as day.
After Cotto;
"Oh, er, yeah, I caught the end of the Mosley-Cotto fight on my TV randomly and saw Mosley was having success with the overhand right so I thought I'd use that"
"Oh yeah and I also saw Judah-Cotto on my TV randomly aswell and saw he was open for the uppercut for I used that"
Right, so he randomly happened to see those two fights of his opponent on his television? Yeah, right.
He studies the game thoroughly and knows all these fighters. I think he just wants to sound like he's even better than he is that he doesn't even watch tapes of his opponents. There's no need for him to do that.Comment

I'm of this opinion as well, I've seen improvement in the foot/ hand speed department with Guerrero, Canelo in comparison to Mosley, Cotto and Ortiz. Still I want to say this, I watched the Baldomir fight about a week ago and he looked considerably faster there than he is now.Maybe the pad work, but in the ring he doesn't look much different.
If anything, he's using his legs more now, and he looks better on the move then he did against Ortiz.
I don't see a difference in the ring with his hand speed, or footwork, or defensive reflexes. If anything, I think he's looked quicker on his feet since Ortiz and Cotto.
