IDK, I thought the Cotto fight was interesting but it wasn't a close fight like some people try to make out. I also think Floyd did a lot of posturing in that fight and could've won a lot easier- iirc at the time Floyd was taking a lot of critiscm for not fighting toe to toe, and ended up fighting Cotto's fight rather than his own. He still won rather convincingly but if he had not wanted to prove a point and stay in the pocket it would have been a Marquez-style shutout.

I have two issues overall though-the way Floyd handled Canelo was exceptional, and I'm sorry I really think Canelo has the beating of Cotto any day of the week.

Second I think Cotto has bitten off more than he can chew with Martinez. Cotto relies on being able to grind down opponents, Martinez is all wrong for this approach- not just in style, but in size. Cotto will be less bull-like and more midget-like against Martinez.

WHEN Cotto demolishes Martinez I expect the prospect of winning a middleweight title to really make Floyd consider the rematch.

Exactly Floyd fights the best the division offers. All winners and or champions. Still dude gets hate cause is such a good boxer. Never understood that. Even if you don't like the man as a person you still got to give it up to him as a fighter. Only if you don't like winners.
