Wess is a clown, a trickle of blood? This guy lmao, Floyd even said on ****ing camera (youtube it) that it was the hardest fight but guys like Wess will say it was an easy fight. Who cares if Cotto only won 2 rounds, he didn't unless your a fl*mo which is exactly what Wess is so it fits in his and Floyds thrwated view of reality. Anyway, 2 rounds or not it was more entertaining than Floyd fighting Guerrero, Canelo, Maidana (when they fight), De La Hoya, Baldomir, Hatton and I can go on and on.
Finally, people saying Cotto can't do better are just flat out ****ing idiots, it's as simple as that. Pedro didn't help Cotto's stamina, and Roach will absolutely do that steroids or what else you guys want to claim. As for the no defense Roach comment... apparently you are supposed to out defend Mayweather? Then how would Manny have even a decent shot at beating Floyd because he has a better version of the shoulder roll I guess? It's because he is, or at least was, a brilliant OFFENSIVE fighter, which is what you need to beat Floyd. Floyd only hits you hard when he counters anyway, you can't punch without being open for some counters.

Besides-you know HBO would do just about anything to prevent Floyd from gettng a crack at the lineal MW title before GGG.
I see Sergio winning anyway FWIW.Originally posted by MrRolltide91 View Postlol agreed
hbo been hying up ggg so they need him to become the lineal MW champion.
Cotto and FLoyd have no business at MW if they dont want to fight real MWs.
In saying all that if Martinez is fit I doubt Cotto will get past him.

There is nothing Roach can do to improve on Cotto's performance from the first fight, especially since Mayweather is being trained by his father.
Mayweather is more defensively conscience and also he does not languish on the ropes like he did in fights with Ortiz, Mosley, and Cotto since SR. is giving orders. Furthermore he does not move as much in straight lines and brought back some of his old lateral movement. With Mayweather SR. in the corner I see it being more one-sided than with the more offensive minded Roger in there.

Just like Castillo adjusted in their rematch right
Mayweather doesnt give rematches because 95 % of his fights have been clear cut wins, outside of the first fight with Castillo that could have gone either way.
On the contrary, A rematch would benefit Mayweather more than his opponents considering how well he adjusts and having the experience of fighting someone again, will just serve him better.
Guys like Joe Louis, Hagler, SRR were great at adapting mid fight like Floyd...but i rematches they all defeated their opponents a lot clearer. Floyd would do the same.

If Cotto beats Serg Hell yeah rematch. He would have earned it. Beating Martinez will be a tall order but if he can pull it off, there will be an explosion of clammer for a Mayweather/Cotto rematch!
